They kinda easily get forgotten since they've been in the cellar for so long now, but should they be forgotten? If EJ Manuel plays well this could easily be a playoff team. Now that is a huge If, considering that Manuel is a guy I wouldn't be sold on yet, but look at some of the talent on this roster:

Two very promising talents at WR with Woods and Watkins.
A when healthy very explosive CJ Spiller
A steadily improving O-line
A stacked defensive line led by Kyle Williams and Mario Williams that can get after the QB.
Young talents in Alonso and Gilmore in the back 7.

There's more talent on this team than many fans give this team credit for, for obvious reasons. I mean they've been a model for consistency in the worst way. I'm not neccessarily calling them a major threat by any means, but for once I may actually not sleep on this team.

Since the first Bills game is in October I am less concerned about that game than @Dolphins on opening day.

By October there will be enough gametape so BB & Co. will know the Bills 2014 Edition inside-out.

On paper they look pretty good and could be arguably the second best team in the AFC East.

It's the Bills, they'll mess up somehow (shaky OL, poor QB play etc).
Lol you may be right. But if they ever get it right, the time's now. After all, these teams all get out of the cellar at some point.. most of the time anyways.

This.

I'm not saying we'll struggle with them, I'm just saying they could actually be threatening for a playoff spot this year, the AFC outside of three or four teams is pretty open honestly.

Answer to the thread title: I don't.

We own them. We do. They're even named after our head coach.

Must be nice. I have to think about the Bills every month and probably worry about them every other month or so. :(

Hey we own them. But the rest of the AFC aside from Denver might not. Here's how I see the AFC-
There's three shoe-in teams- Us, Denver, and Indianapolis, who has by far the easiest looking division in the league. After that, any team could make it, any team could miss it.

What do i think? I think we beat them twice again this year

Bills are still #4 in our division IMO, they are probably a better overall team than the Dolphins, but Tannehill makes enough of a difference to keep them above the Bills, for now.

Jets are clearly #2 in my eyes, their defense is built very similar to Carolina's, weak secondary but very good DL play that can suffocate a teams offensive line and running game.

Bills have real questions regarding overall coaching and capability at QB. Lots of young, raw talent that needs solid coaching. If it all comes together, even for one game, and EJ plays well we could drop a game to them. Bills were my 2nd fav team before I hopped on the Russell Wilson bandwagon.

Bills have suffered long enough. The US Patent and Trademark Office should revoke their trademark of the name "Bills." It's demeaning and discriminates against every person and piece of currency named Bill. Besides, their owner is dead and can't fight the decision in court.

Living in Buffalo, I think I have a good sense of where this team is. Buffalo has the same problem it has had for the last 15 years: the worst front office in the league.

And they just sandbagged the next owner by trading away next year's #1.

If you look at Buffalo's first round picks over the last 15 years, it boggles the mind. Not only Losman, Manuel, McCargo, trading for Bledsoe, Aaron Maybin, Spiller, Whitner, McKelvin, etc. (although that's bad enough), but also Dareus has now turned out to be a headcase. Dareus is the only pick I ever agreed with of theirs. More often than not, they draft a munchkin when a stud DE or DT is available.

That same front office traded next year's #1 and this year's #1 (9th pick in the round) for a WR. Now, Watkins may end up being fantastic, but that's still INSANE.

The next owner is going to be Terry Pegula who is going to be a good owner, I think, and he will clean house within a year or two after buying the team.

I thought about the Bills for ten seconds this morning because a guy in the gym was wearing a Bills jersey. I thought "poor guy!"

I mean, I could be wrong, who knows, every team can go on a streak, and Doug Marrone may be a so-far undiscovered coaching genius, but seriously...

Putting in a rookie, however promising, and letting Stevie Johnson go? Last season Fred Jackson was better than Spiller and this season he'll be 33. And E.J. Manuel? Not exactly the new Aaron Rodgers so far.

I agree completely. All us 'Bills' want to know how many other people are named 'Vikings', 'Packers', 'Bears', 'Browns', 'Raiders', 'Redskins', 'Jets', 'Saints', etc.(I think you get the drift). Why can't they just be the Buffalo Buffalos and leave us 'Bills' alone so we aren't discriminated against!

you're hilarious, Rush Limbaugh

I see these teams –
Bills
Browns
Bucs
Rams
Texans

All falling into a similar category of a team that has a ton of young talent and upside but the QB position is going to either make them or break them.

The AFC East is vastly improved as a whole. The Dolphins also have a very talented squad, and the Jets added a substantial amount of talent in the offseason. They all have question marks at the QB position.

An additional note on the Bills- I do not see Manuel having a good career personally, I thought he was a bad pick at the time and as a rookie, he really did not show me anything that would change my view of him.
