Bradshaw Takes Down Manning

Bradshaw's comments are extremely unfair and don't give Manning the credit he deserves. Manning is extremely capable of losing playoff games at all rounds, not just Super Bowls.

I've noticed that former players generally think Manning is a choker and that Brady is superior, whereas fans and writers tend to downplay Manning's playoff failures. I don't think that most of the former players look so much at stats or awards and better understand the postseason intangibles necessary for success. Manning will always be a fan and media darling, which he has worked very hard to become.

Bradshaw might have put it a little bluntly and not in a way designed to make him any friends among Peyton Manning fans, but what he said is true.

The amazing thing about Starr, Montana and Brady is that they have both the rings (five, four and three) AND the stats.

Bradshaw has the four rings and so-so stats.
Marino and Peyton have the stats but one ring between them.
Aikman has three rings but retired early.

Michael David Smith certainly sounded like he had an axe to grind with Bradshaw over Bradshaw verbally smacking his girlfriend about his choke jobs. That troll Colts Fans certainly won't like this one...

Agree. Smith sounds like a scourned ex-lover in that article.

That's what many posts on that site sound like. This one is certainly no different.

I've noticed the standard tactic for manning defenders is to say "the other guy did it too." You comment on yet another postseason game ending pick and the retort is "In week 4 of 2009, Brady threw a game ending pick." (Or whatever game.)
It is like saying Ray Lewis's lateral speed was wanting and a ray Lewis supporter tells you how Butkus was slow too.
