It's easy, and only takes a few moments.OK then, tell me how it's legal for a kickball player to use his hands and arms in contact with the ball on the field of play (goal keepers and throwing the ball inbounds not included).First, what I quoted is simply untrue.
Second, how about those who don't like soccer, put the thread on Ignore and let those of us who have interest read it without every other post being "soccer sucks".
Thanks.
First, quit being an ass and calling it by the wrong name.OK then, tell me how it's legal for a kickball player to use his hands and arms in contact with the ball on the field of play (goal keepers and throwing the ball inbounds not included).
I'd say that this is a good prediction. Germany is a clear-cut favorite, but the other spot is up for grabs. Portugal is better than both Ghana and the US, but honestly, they are very Cristiano-dependent, so it won't be a huge surprise to see them losing to any teamSo for the U.S., obviously we need to beat Ghana but in the earlier game I guess we want Germany to win (by as large a margin as possible), with a tie the next best option and a Portugal win the least desired.
Any disenters on that ?
(thinking behind it is, as good as Portugal is, the U.S. has a better chance to tie or beat them than they do vs. Germany).
There is a lot of screwing around in the middle of the field but with so many scoring opportunities (most of which miss or are saved) and with so few goals scored it is actually very exciting if you have a team to root for.Soccer can be boring to watch, but so much fun to play.
Another thing I don't understand about soccer: Woodhead would be one of the 3 biggest players on the U.S team and probably the strongest. A question to soccer fans here from an ignorant gridiron football fan, does strength even matter in soccer? Because I see some players listed at 6' 150 lbs..
These players would get absolutely destroyed on a football field. Also, what would happen if you put Revis in soccer cleats covering Ronaldo?
Enjoy watching granddaughters play soccer. World Cup? Even more boring than MLB.
So, double-amputees would have no problem succeeding at kickball, right?First, quit being an ass and calling it by the wrong name.
Second you referenced : "entire upper body" which I take to be the waist up. The chest is frequently used to control a pass that comes at you in the air and at the professional level the head is used a lot.
It's especially good for kids who aren't really coordinated enough, big enough or strong enough to play more advanced sports.
Don't really care to wade too far into the predictable pro/anti soccer pissing match, but I can't really fathom how this is at all accurate.
You've never watched youth soccer played properly? You've never watched youth soccer?
You've never watched youth soccer?
I played myself in high school, but being that I don't have kids I'd never voluntarily watch youth anything.

I love American Football but it's a stupid name. Why, exactly, is it called Football ?
Then you should probably have stayed out of this, as nothing I posted should have been problematic for anyone. Youth soccer is a great way for the kids who are less coordinated, smaller and weaker to get/stay in shape. In fact, you see those sorts of kids on the field all the time.
Soccer is also a sport that most people in the U.S. stop playing and following when they grow up, as they move on to the traditional American adult sports of football, basketball, hockey and soccer. In the U.S., soccer basically is a child's game, whether you like it or not.
