Reiss tweeted Vince took part in some 11 on 11 drills! Me thinks many will owe the big man an apology.

I've been openly very skeptical about Wilfork's ability to come back to a meaningful level (especially in 2014), and I remain so until I see him perform on the field, but I will be thrilled if proven wrong.

Armstead missed another OTA, keeping his record perfect. He's missed every "activity."
His odds get longer.

Seriously. What on earth is wrong with the guy? Medically speaking, I mean.

the thing I'm REALLY excited to see, is how well Brady, and the receivers get better practicing against top tier DB's for an entire offseason.

Browner CB, Mccourty FS, and Revis CB, are a trio that i would say is the best the patriots have ever had while Brady has been starting.

We have had years where we had one good CB(Asante, Talib)
And a few years with a okay/Good Duo CB(Talib/dennard)(Law/Asante)

But this year of Defensive backfield is top notch.

The combination of Ty Law, Asante Samuel, Tyrone Pool, Rodney Harrison, and Eugene Wilson of 2003-2004 was actually pretty good.

It really is a damn shame with Armstead. He has a lot of potential... if he could ever get healthy. I don't think we'll ever see him so much as take a snap in a Patriot uniform.

Agreed, I had high hopes for this guy as one of those under the radar signings. The more I hear the more I'm losing that hope though.

If he's unable to go at the beginning of training camp, I will officially move to High Hope Plan B: Hoping Chris Jones takes a step up in year two and becomes a good situational inside pass rusher.

Yeah, you're not going to make it in the NFL if your body is breaking down in just OTAs.

Meanwhile, Mallet missed today's OTA.

Keeping him safe for the imminent trade with..

Oh never mind.. ;)

In all seriousness I probably put the chance of a Mallet trade at about 10%.

When I see Garrapolo doing well in OTA, I might nudge that up a %.

The big factor Im waiting on that might make me double the imaginary percentages in my head is whether Johnson holds out for TC too (which reminds me I should check real quick whether he did show up to OTAs).

With Amendola, Edelman, Dobson, and LaFell, I would be completely shocked if Kenbrell Thompkins ended up as the WR3.

My concern with his rookie year (aside from being overrated in my opinion), was the fact that he did not progress, he trended in the opposite direction as the year went on.

I certainly understand your point though. If he earns a spot as the WR3, more power to him, and good for his effort. That won't bode well for the guys who we have much higher hopes for, however.

Probably because he sustained a groin injury and was never the same afterward.

My first reaction was "God (goodness would be a better word), let's hope not."

A more appropriate post would be that "I respectfully disagree."

I have no problem with hanging onto Thompkins as a depth option who can possibly continue to improve in both the film room and during practice over the course of another year, but I personally don't want to have to see him as our 3rd WR--yikes.

To be honest with you, I believe his "impressive rookie campaign" was overblown, considering the fact that he basically disappeared after the middle of October, aside from the DEN game. He had a total of 11 catches over the last double digit number of games, IIRC. He took advantage of having no other options in the receiving game when both of Gronk/Vereen were injured, but let's not forget his struggles just as well.

When i say he is a good 3rd WR, i mean in general conventional terms. Obviously he isn't the third best receiving target on the team. However, he is a still a good WR with a lot of promise, imo.

Revis got beat 3 times today...end of the world status right there. Will Smith showed some flashes today. Anyone know why no Dennard? Hes long out of jail right?

Disappointing indeed and a sobering reminder to those with visions of inside pressure and Superbowl guarantees dancing in their heads. There are a great many question marks on the roster, some rather important (Vince, Gronk, Kelly, Dobson, Harmon, etc.).

It's easy for Pats fans on the Interwebs to be critical of Armstead here.
I'll bet that very few posting here have suffered severe debilitating vaginal cramps or itch.

(To those few of you who have...Please! No Details! Thank you.)

He's busy staring in the latest episode of COPS

Potential is the dirtiest word in all of sport. It promises so much and often delivers little.
