*knock, knock, knock*

Just in case.....;)

Haven't we been "booking it" every season since our last championship or at least most of them? Booking it doesn't mean a thing. Our defense is better...that gives us some hope of a better chance. Let's stop saying we are going to the SB or winning it. People were saying it last year toward the end as well.

Yeah, it's like Seinfeld with the car rental. Anyone can book the season. It's playing the actual games that's hard.

Anyone who claimed that we were going to win it towards the end of last year was huffing glue
. It was more than obvious that our best bet was to get the #2 seed, have a bye week + a game at home, then let the chips fall where they may in the AFCCG out in the thin air of Mile High.

We were intrigued to see a highly overachieving team continue to compete at a high level, and never gave up, but I highly questioned the sanity of posters who "expected" us to win.

Well since I'm already at computer, what's that flight number?

Finally have all of the pieces we need. Press man corners, coverage safeties, athletic lbs, penetrating dts, pass rushers, a complete offense, all the coaches, and motivation in place. Barring major injuries not making the SuperBowl would be a complete bust of a year. Pats vs Hawks im guessing.
I like your enthusiasm, but hate these kind of threads. To play Devil's advocate, the WR and TE position is subpar, and losing Blount is going to hurt this team.

On defense, Kelly, Wilfork, Mayo and Easley are all coming off of major injuries, and Chandler Jones is the ONLY good/great pass rusher we have, so unless we get MORE pressure on the QB, it won't matter how good out DBs are.

Not a perfect team in any way, and our top nemesis, Denver, made some key additions as well, as did our main rivals the Dolphins and the Jets.

No offense. But are you related to Rex Ryan? That's the kind of stuff he says. Or maybe Dan Snyder?

Don't get me wrong. There are a lot of reasons to feel good about this team, especially with the changes on the D. But, I'm with Bob Kraft on this one: I'm expecting the Pats to be competitive to win their division and play well in the Playoffs...one game at a time.

I booked it. Used my daughter's college money...while standing in line though, I got into a bunch of arguments with all the Jest fans. They suck.

I think I read a similar story line on 31 other teams fan forums not too long ago. Prolly right after the draft and during the OTA's. Did we win the off-season championship?

Season is long. Weird things happen. Temper expectations. (But, I hope you are right.)

Yeah, a highly overachieving team made up in large part with street free agent replacements has never won a Super Bowl. Except for 2001. After losing their starting quarterback.

As always, injuries will be the great equalizer among the 32 NFL teams. Should we stay healthy, we certainly have a great shot. But the AFC had a really bad down year last year. Don't expect the Steelers and Ravens to be so awful again. Combine that with San Diego, Indy, Buffalo and Miami trending up.

I hope we can be both battle tested and healthy come January.

And if they don't win we know exactly who's fault it will be

We should be competitive...therein lies the thrill of the past 10+ seasons, and I can definitely live with that for another year!!

I would agree, IF IF IF we stay healthy. If the injury bug hits as hard as it did last season again, then we are in trouble. Obviously injuries happen, but last season was insane. Hopefully we just have bumps and bruises this season and not half the team IR'ed

I think we have an excellent chance, but we have to play 18 games and win most of them before it happens.

I love that every day, in every thread Joker cannot think of anything but how to get my attention. It really is cute, odd as hell but cute just the same.

There is only a 50% chance Amendola would be to blame.

where did you get that? That is awesome!!!! There is actually a Willy Wonka image that mentions Danny Amendola by name? What are the odds?

I think there is a Willy Wonka image for just about everything.

The odds are 50%, everything to do with Amendola is 50%...o_O
