So i've heard this out of a couple posters recently. I'd so much rather have Edelman over Emmanuel Sanders! Seriously, I don't understand what the hype is over Sanders. Start appreciating the fact that we have a pretty good WR in Edelman.

Comical. Wait til the season starts I'll keep up with this statement. Sanders is going to light it up. He is more explosive,athletic, more fluid. Edelman is one of the most limited WRs in the NFL. Look at some of his catches. Brady pulls Chris Angel acts to fit the ball past the defender. Sanders can create on his own. Teams were competing for Sanders. Edelman had ZERO interest as a FA.

Which is why he absolutely lit it up for the Steelers when he had the inside track for the starting job? Oh he didn't?! Jericho Cotchery out performed him? Learn something new every day....

Yeah Sanders is fast, but he hasn't put it all together and seems pretty consistent at underperforming.

That's just it this is year he does it most likely. Like I said wait for the season. He never really connected with Ben. BTW I hope Jones is training hard like I hear. He isn't really to qwik twitch. To take next step as a passrusher he needs to get stronger. He can be elite through a combination of quickness,length,power,flexibility. But he definitely needs to get stronger. Bigger tackles erased him to often.

Did you happen to notice how many players the Patriots DIDN'T have at the end of last season? (GRONK, Wilfork, Vollmer, just to name a few of the injured players). The full roster was capable of winning the SB. Down so many players, it's a lot tougher.

What we do know is that Edelman can work in the Patriots' offensive system—where we've seen many receivers with better raw talent flame out because they can't. It's not at all clear to me that Sanders would be able to pick up the system.

Also, don't forget that replacing Edelman also means replacing his PR production. (And no, not just anybody could do it—he's one of the best PR's in league history.)
