Peter King With Some Good stuff on Brady

Unbelievable, just unbelievable how hungry he still is. And with that kind of humility. Even 14 years later, I still feel lucky that we have him at the helm.
you echo my thoughts exactly. I get chills every time time I hear Brady talk about football. Its hard to believe how grounded he is, given the magical life he seems to lead. Yet what he says makes it easy to understand why his fellow players will follow him through that proverbial "brick wall". I know I would.

Nice snippets and quotes. I'm pretty pissed at King for interjecting his political bias into his works, so I rarely read his columns anymore.

Football writers, like all sports writers, should leave their political bias out of their writing. Regardless of their views, including them, using their bully pulpit to expound upon this or that perceived problem, only serves to alienate readers, something no editor should ever put up with.

But that's my slightly O/T rant for the day.

Wow that gives me goosebumps what a competitor.
I really hope he stays on as a coach when he is done and I never want to see him in another uniform.
I like the sound of the New England Patriots with Josh McDaniels as head coach Tom Brady offensive coordinator.
Bill Belichick GM Advisor overseeing operations.

Glad its not me there have to TRY to succeed Brady, really a imposible job. Sure Rodgers did it with Favre... But again that sayed, Brady is miles a head of Favre.

"I was the 199th pick in the draft for a reason." Ouch.

The NFL without Brady and Manning is going to be very, very strange.

I hope they become coaches, not talking heads based on this quote:
" I can tell you neither me nor Peyton [Manning] will probably be very far from the game of football when we’re done."

That's our QB!

He always says the right thing.

Great stuff. I believe this is an annual thing: King plugging Best Buddies in exchange for a rare 1-on-1 interview with Brady himself. I second all the good comments on Brady above. We're very lucky to have him play for the Patriots. An era to savor.

I love Tom Brady and think he's awesome. He's not perfect, but no one is. I love his dedication to the game, his heart, and his character. If only more people would try to follow someone like him who is one of the few athletes that you could call a good role model for society. :)

Anyways thanks for the Article Ian it was a great article and a good read.

I've evolved in my Manning feeling from being offended that he was so well regarded in his early years, to respect for his greatness to enjoyment of his Pick 6s. All kidding aside Brady & Manning gone will be like the end of the Bird-Magic era without Michael Jordan.
