Will the offense be better in 2014?

Are we talking about the loss to the Ravens yet again. The game was a disaster. Brady had 3 quick turnovers after the RIce run. The debacle was not due to the age of the team. BTW, can tyou name the #2 or #3 TE that year?
I was referring to Belichick saying on the football life that he could not get that team to play the way he wanted to them to play, and then dismantling the team after that season for the most part and going with youth. He moved on from Seymour, Thomas, Warren, Springs, Bodden, and Watson after that season among less notable.

Are TEs were Watson, Thomas, and Baker in 2009.

I disagree. Certainly I would like the Gronk AHern tandem we had in 2011. But it won't happen.

Yet it is not too difficult to better the 2012 situation at TE. La Fell is smaller than Ahern, but he is used to running the 'F' TE plays with Carolina, that Ahern did here. Keller may yet be signed, post June 1. Gronk might actually play a majority of the games. He did 3 years out of 4.

Unlike Ahern, LaFell also ran many 'X' Split End plays, so he could be used in a disguise than Ahern couldn't.

Keller was perhaps a better 'F' TE than APerp. If he signed, he could be again.
DJ Williams or Asa Watson could flourish with the opportunity.

I responded to a discussion about running backs. None of the players you listed are competing with Bolden and Develin for roster spots.

Stephen Houston looks like a keeper in his college highlites and reports are he's doing well in camp. A combo of him with Ridley and Vereen paired with White could push Bolden out.

That's what I'm talking about. I'm not looking points or any other stat.

If not for Brady we would have had a hard time.

Brady is elite, the whole offense no, the stats don't give the full picture.

Is Brady not apart of the offense or something?

You can't just take Tom out of the equation. The offense is elite because we have an elite quarterback. This is no secret. We also have a pretty good tight end too lol

This thread is about offense.

So FAIL.

You really couldn't comprehend what I was saying. Wow.

Both Pitt and Balt went 8 - 8 and missed the post season.

Records are irrelevant due to them being a team stat. Since we're talking about the Patriots offense then that means we're talking about the Steelers and the Ravens defenses. And they both didn't have bad defenses.

The Pats offense struggles to move the ball vs Cincy and Carolina. Then, in Denver.

Get a clue and get back to me.

Cincy was in a monsoon.
Against Carolina we were moving the ball fine but fumbles killed us. (Hi Ridley)
The first time we played Denver I'm pretty sure the Pats offense was fine. I'll give you the second one though.

So out of all your examples only one is credible.

You should definitely get a clue and get back to me.

I agree, Bolden is in serious jeopardy, he is facing competition from a number of young players and at this point I would love to see the Patriots RB corps consist of Ridley, Vereen, White, Houston, and Finch, which would replace both the loss of blount and the loss of Woodhead the previous offseason. Develin is a decent player but I would rather have better options running and receiving out of their backfield.

Don't mind triumph, he actually once claimed he could do a better job selecting players than Belichick. I am guessing his insurance company doesn't cover delusional behavior and mental illness or we wouldn't have to read crap like that.

IMHO, Bolden has already been replaced in his primary role of the backup to Vereen. We need a partner/backup for Ridley. It is Blount that needs to be replaced. Personally, I don't think that Bolden is the player to share reps with Ridley or even be his backup.

I think Houston could be an absolute monster. He will end up having a bigger impact than White in my opinion, and that is not a knock on White.

I agree the White pick was about having a player capable of stepping in for Vereen, and a player who can be trusted as a blocker.

The way I see the backs shaking out is –
RB – Ridley, Houston
3rd down RB – Vereen, White

Bolden sticks as the fifth back and as a special team’s player because he is capable of backing up Ridley/Houston and Vereen/White. If my aspiration for Houston turn out being off then Bolden would have an increased role.

As far as general competition for spots, I started a thread last week looking at that competition, by position. Brady6 started another in the last couple days.

Opps. Sorry about that.
