Moore's a solid developmental prospect, IMO. Ideal size, good burst, reportedly a high-character guy with a great work ethic. Clips are definitely limited, and regardless it's hard to know what to make of watching a DL at that level. ("Oh wow, he totally overpowered the 250-lb. guard from Winona State!") From his Combine workout I see the makings of a classic 4-3 DE. Nifty feet for a big guy, very good explosion, mediocre change of direction ability (as expected at 6'6" 270), and absolutely terrible hands for the interception. No surprise he was moved from receiver!

Moore's Achilles' heel is academics. He was recruited by major programs but couldn't qualify academically, and struggled at his DII school, too. It seems likely that his ability to learn an NFL defense will be the key to his future.

That is usually the case, But he graduated, with a degree in criminal justice. more than can be said for lots of these so-called student-athletes.

I would not be surprised if he followed a path like Fletcher's. Too much potential to put on the practice squad.

Moore looks like a player who will end up on the Practice Squad, especially if Armstead ends up as primarily a DE. He is likely to be better than Bequette, but neither seems likely to make the 53. I think that a free agent is more likely to make the team.

He is already better than Bequette who wasn't able to crack the rotation last year even with all the help we needed last year than I don't hold out hope for him to ever get it. I think he is wasting a roster spot and that we should not even keep him around and the Free agent would be so much better and with a free agent

I might be in the minority but I'm happy for the Easley pick as Armstead needs to stay on the field before I expect anything from him and think if he isn't ready cut him to ( I'm aware that he seems good to go for the start of the season , We shall see lets hope)

Yep. Buchanan, Bequette, Moore & Smith are all going for 2 spots IMO.

Some real camp battles to watch out for this year.

I see Buchanan and Smith being the ones who make it with Moore being on the PS

EDIT: Welp, that's the film you mentioned. I feel stupíd now

Lol it's all good. In hindsight I should have at least posted that one. :)

He sounds very solid and the Size at 6'6 270 but, as I would cautious of is learning ability as the Patriots in many respects have a complicated playbook and although he sounds like a great guy we should understand the limitations of people (ex.Bequette) and if the will ever get it.
I say that for they point you bring up at struggling at the d2 school and the understandment that the small environment provided some difficulties which should raise some concerns. ( I'm not trying to say that those same schools are in a perfect system they are not and they are outdated in their grading and procedures) I hope for the best with him we shall see and his Physical nature would seem to have already pushed him past Bequette.

Well, after watching the video, Moore has prototypical size, long arms, active motor, and he seems to have a good closing burst. He already looks better than Cunningham, a former 2nd rounder, in that respect. And I swear I've never seen Bequette make a play so I'm beginning to believe we actually drafted a jersey by accident instead of a player. :p

Does anyone else read "Zach Moore" then think: 'Thomas Moore'... 'Zach Thomas'... Zach Moore is going to be GREAT!

Probably not.. I'm weird like that.
