Pats backroom let down Brady AGAIN

No one said BB isn't responsible for personnel mistakes, he's had many. What I said was your assessment of his decisions a day after the draft are less than worthless.
Do you really think that logic doesn't go both ways? I have reservations about the JG, Stork, White and Halapio picks. I offer those reservations, you consider them worthless, then why the hell are you in an internet forum reading the opinions of others if you view them as worthless? Are you in here looking for people who agree with you and that is all? That's awfully close minded and hypercritical.

Typical. Lazy.

You told me to read that conversation. It seems that you're the one who didn't. JMCOO was making an appeal to authority ("So you don't think they fit. Belichick thinks they do. Hmmm not sure who i'm going to side with on this one."). He was responded to with this:

Belichick also thought Tavon Wilson, Jake Bequette, Ras-I Dowling, Ron Brace, Jermaine Cunningham, Chad Jackson, and many others would fit and they either did not or have not so do not be smug and act as if his draft history is without error.

In context, that's a valid response, though it takes a far too liberal approach to the term "fit" to really be a sound point. You could be more wrong with your response, but you'd have to work really hard to accomplish that.

They drafted two wide receivers last year, and are giving them time to develop. Time will tell if they got the right guys (I'm still very hopeful re: Dobson), but acting like they haven't invested at WR is just objectively wrong. Meanwhile, the position where Brady most needs help is on the offensive line, and three guys were drafted there. If this is the draft that gets the OL back to the point where Brady can throw from a clean pocket, then how in the world could that possibly be letting him down?

Fact: Deus Irae claims to be rational and logical.

Fact: Pats Fans is a Patriots fan based message board.

Fact: Deus Irae can't understand why there are so many Patriot fans on a Patriots fan website.

Seems logical. Fool.

Just because you are fan of something doesn't mean you ignore it's shortcomings. There are many things and people in this world I love but I am conscious of their shortcomings. I am sure you criticize your significant other (if you have one) from time to time or you disagree with their decisions or opinions. Does that make you less of a partner to them, no if you love something you are aware of the entire scope and you encourage improvement even if that encouragement comes across critical.

I would argue that a person being aware of a teams flaws or mistakes and still supporting it and being a fan of it is a more supportive fan than one who pretends no mistakes have ever been made.

Plus we add a fine receiving RB, in case Vereen is still not back to 100%. I'd say that the FO did quite a lot for Brady these past 2 years (2 WR's and 3 OL's). Now, if we just sign Keller.

Well I can see you still haven't read. Keep working little fella you'll get there someday.

I'm not sure where I said not to critique the coach, the team, or personnel decisions. I was actually critiquing your opinion. When did that not become ok? Am I suppose to hit the agree button with everything you post? The private messages you keep sending me sure make it seem like you are the one who can't handle being disagreed with.

You really are going full bore mother on Mother's Day Coach42 ... o_O

Did they not get the memo? Tom needs help! Forehead over in Denver is throwing to all pros but once again when needing to get receiving help Brady will be asked to throw to UFA rookies like Kenbrell Thompkins for miracle game winning TD's.

They had stud tight ends and abundance of good college receivers sitting there at every pick waiting to be taken but instead decide to take a player that could have been had later on.

They must be expecting some serious year 2 jumps from what they already have and think Amendola is going to REALLY turn into Welker this time because without even knowing if Gronk will be 100% ready to go they did nothing in free agency to help and nothing in the draft either.

So what's the master plan now? Dustin Keller? The dude whose leg bent in half less than a year ago?

What a let down once again, but it's OK right? Tom is Tom and will find a way won't he. Pathetic if you ask me.

Speaking of illogical I should know better than coming on here the day after a draft. Not logical at all. I apologize for any personal attacks. Even the ones at Deus.

No I sent you personal messages (which you did not respond to) because you were clicking the dislike or disagree button and offering no justification whatsoever. You were not critiquing anything you were trolling around giving negative ratings to opinions without even having the fortitude to offer an opinion yourself. If you weren't actually trolling and acting out a jihad you would have responded to my personal messages with an explanation but you didn't because you knew exactly what you were doing.

Like last night I posted that I opened a thread about Justin Jones prior to the draft, and that he was an interesting player and could be a gem. You rated that with a dislike, explain to me the logic behind that if you were actually just critiquing my posts? I would love to here what exactly you disliked about that post? Please explain, or don't in which case you just prove my point.

LaFell was a good signing, but I would not hang anything on the fact that they drafted a seventh round developmental player who is likely to land on the practice squad if with the team at all.

Halapio and Stork are not premier talents by any stretch of the imagination, and neither is a lock to make the final roster in my opinion.

The Patriots failure was adding JG with #62, that pick was not necessary, in my opinion JG will not be the heir apparent to Brady, and will not be a starting QB at the NFL level, we used #62 on a career backup. We could have added a first round talent in a draft this deep at #62 and JG was not a first round talent.

They added a 'career backup' because they will need one in 2015, who is more than a raw rookie.

Ron Rivera said he knows how to play tight end that is good, I know how to play tight end too; it does not mean I can play the position in the NFL.

He does not have the size or strength to play the tight end position in the NFL, he may be able to do some of the things in terms of routes and alignment that we did with Hernandez, but he does not create the matchup opportunities that Hernandez did.

Hernandez was no great blocker and seldom played in the TE position. More frequently he lined up in the slot or was a move H-back. LaFell actually did both of those routes in the NFL for several years, so don't say he can't.

I like the receivers we have, I think giving them an opportunity to develop is the right move. Bringing in another rookie is just going to set the offense back.

Jihad? Really? Because I hit the "dislike" button. Grow a pair pal. Good lord.

We did not need to draft JG with the #62 pick, there were players deeper in the draft that could have filled the void. I have said this many times I have no issue with the player it is the pick I dislike.

The mistake in your thinking is a common mistake amongst this board, it is the belief that running the same route makes the player the same type of weapon. Hernandez was 260lbs and one of the strongest players lb for lb in the NFL. He was physical and could out muscle just about any LB or DB that is what made him special. LaFell might be able to run the routes and do some of the things that Hernandez did in terms of speed but he will not be able to present the same threat. Hernandez benched 225lbs 36 times at his pro day, LaFell did it 11 times. The difference in strength is enormous.

I did read. I even quoted where it began and what I was talking about. You apparently prefer to troll. Bye.

?
So as I said you are full of crap you were not critiquing anything and the reasons you hit the dislike was not for the reasons it is intended. I'm calling you out for your BS and your response is to tell me to grow some balls. That makes sense.

Also I noticed you didn't answer the question, not surprising. Don't play dumb with your ? why don't you grow a set and answer the question.

@Coach42 the fact you disliked this post just further proves my point you're a troll. A troll I am putting on ignore because you aren't worth my time.

Have to say,you have some valid points. Fact is, Pats have not won a SB in 10 years, so thinking Brady can do it by himself is a flawed strategy. At this point he might WAN`T to leave before he retires.
