2014 NFL Draft, Day 3: Rounds 4 - 7 thread

Thomas is a fine pick in the 6th. Small, but offers CB/S flexibility and is a very good STer. The latter is the key though, since not many 6th rounders contribute besides STs their first year (if they even make the team).

The Ellis Hobbs memorial selection. Still, through 6 we still have not taken a dedicated STer.

Well lets see if we can still get one of the binkies in as our priority UDFA in round 7..

that being said, I am looking forward to the chaos that is UDFA signing..

very true...it took Brady almost two seasons before he contributed.

I'm not going to complain too much about this draft because the Patriots have attempted to address significant issues on the Offensive Line (Stork, Fleming, Halapio) and the Defensive Line (Easley, Moore) but not one selection of a Linebacker or Tight End? I hope the Patriots have a contingency plan in place for UDFA, trades or Free Agent signings because they've left two of their pressing four needs unaddressed.

Can't speak for Purifoy, but didn't Skov have a sub-5.0 40?

more like one season - brady won the super bowl after being back up for one season. he replaced bledsoe early in 2001.

so, does BB feel like playing Lyerla Roulette?

I'm okay with this in the 6th round.

Wish they would have picked up an athletic LB though.

Because there are always things that we fans don't know about.

Skov could be because of his 40 time.. His 40 time made Spikes look like Danny Woodhead.. But he's also got a series of injury flags.. Not sure otherwise..

Will take Skov as a priority UDFA gladly.

As an IT professional,I have put minutes if not hour into researching this draft extensively, as well as investing my off hours watching a bowl game. And it is my deeply felt conclusion that BB is obviously crazy and cannot possible pick draft picks as well as I can. I therefore declare this and every previous draft that does not match the public perception an utter failure. I am sure some of you hard head Pats fan will see it otherwise. But luckily for me, I truly know more than any professional, and can see how deluded you really are!

More 3-4 next year? Easley was called as a defensive end, not tackle.

Skov's 50 was a 5.14 at his Pro-Day..
