We haven't gotten our annual special teams maven yet

Louchiez Purifoy is an excellent special teamer with potential as a cover CB. He's also from Florida so that would keep with the theme

I feel sorry for these picks. The kids can't even go through camp first before people start talking about how much they suck. Welcome to New England.

The QB and RB picks have thrown off the draft from that perspective more than that last lineman, I think.

Just food for thought.

I try and reconcile the Garoppolo pick and I struggle I must confess, particularly if they were interested in first round QBs. I'm fine with taking a QB high if he's 'the guy', but if he's third choice or whatever, then I find it harder to justify. The RB pick is fine, I'd have taken someone else but it's a clear position of need and he's a pretty good one.

I'm right. Shmessy's wrong, but trolling anyway.

This is how the game plays out, pretty much every time. It's what he and I do. Feel free to take it up with him, though.

Deus - You are wrong. White isn't a BJGE replacement. White can actually passblock and catch passes out of the backfield. He replaces Woodhead. But, you're too arrogant to acknowledge that.

whats the deal with brandon coleman? seems like his draft stock has slid more than ahern's alibi's?

lots of WR's projected much lower than him taken...

He's also a leading contender for best name if he's picked.

I am with you brother. Bryan Stork and Jon Halapio were both graded as late seventh – UDFA. There were better options on the board
If the five people who disagreed with my post do not think that –

Richardson
C Jones (LB)
Jeffcoat
Reilly
Coyle
Coleman
Skov
Gayle
Loston
Hubbard
Murphy
Patchan
Millard
Kerr
Exum
Seastrunk
C Jones (WR)
Hazel

Halapio was a better choice than all these players in your minds?

IF they do take Lyerla then this place is going to go nuts. As will the ESPN & NFL crews

Also Stork is graded by some as the 4th best Center in this draft (a few guys even higher but that is more a fringe thing). I don't hate the Stork pick at all. I think it was decent value and about where a lot of people thought he would go.

No one has any basis to say anything. With that said, we're saying it anyway.
Wrong. There are actually people on this board who have been coaches and have played the game. THEY have a basis for statements in certain areas.

That being said, Brady6 is talking out his arse with no facts to support him. Such as the FACT that was mentioned earlier about Stork being rated as a 3rd-5th round pick by Ourlads/Lindy's. Halapio was rated a 5th-UDFA by NFLDraftScout.com. Pats took him in the 6th and he's complaining about it..

You don't have ANYTHING to back it up. NOTHING. Zilch. Zero. And it's about time you got your head out of your arse to realize that. These stupid sites are significantly worse than NFL teams when it comes to predicting players.

BTW, don't be a jackarse and put words in my mouth. I haven't given ANY sort of assessment on the draft, nor am I going to. Furthermore, your an ignorant arse if you believe I've never said anything negative about a BB decision. But, that is par for the course when it comes to you. You talk out your arse with no facts to back yourself up. And when people show you things that blow up your asinine posts, you pathetically attempt to spin your way out of it.
Sure thing DaBruinz, that is it.

Wenning > Flacco.

I have plenty to back it up, how about the fact that he was rated as the #292 prospect in the draft, and graded out as a seventh round – UDFA prospect.

Let us be realistic here DaBruinz you have NEVER said one negative thing about any decision Belichick has made so how the heck can anything you say be taken with any objectivity. You defend everything like Belichick ****’s roses, and that destroys your creditability for me.

and where was Nix rated to go? In actuality, he was a mid-3rd rounder. To actually think that these "ratings" are anywhere close to accurate is a bit foolish. Vollmer and Mankins were both considered reaches since they were rated as UDFA and 3-4 rd.

Doesn't matter what people on this board think. What matters is what BB and his people think. Last I knew that crew had won 3 Super Bowls, been to two more, and had plenty more deep runs into the playoffs. Until proven wrong I will give them the benefit of the doubt on a 3rd day pick. What qualifications do you have that makes you a better judge than they are as to who is a better fit for what the Pats need? One of those guys you listed may turn out to be a great player for another team running another offense or defense. That does not mean they would have turned out equally well in a NE uniform.

Funny this is what NFL draft scout says right now. I talk out my ass and you straight up lie

Man, I want Jeffcoat so bad. No way they'll take him though.

Also I just have one thing to add here. When a guy "falls" it probably means he was overrated.

When all 32 teams agree a guy is not worth a 3rd or 4th round pick that probably means he isn't more than not.

Yeah, I was just being a bit facetious. I'm underwhelmed and very very tired right now. BB should do something exciting just to wake me up :)

I feel the same way but I actually like all three OL prospects. The Garropolo pick is the one that's killing me. I actually think the kid could develop but I wanted a player for now with that pick. It didn't help that the Broncos traded up for Latimer who was a binky right in front of that.

Draft picks and associated grades are all over the map with this draft, especially offensive linemen. Every team has made head scratching picks

That is good, that does not mean that these players were good selections.
