I assume that's some form of a rhetorical joke.

You're like a dog with a bone man. You'll literally never admit defeat on anything will you?

I guess it would make folks feel great to draft a S and TE who are unlikely to make the team.

LB and FB for me.

We we still need a TE, LB & S i think. Only 3 picks left. I honestly think 1 is going to go completely unaddressed in the draft at this point.

....is there any decent tight end out there that we can get? it's the 6th round just take a flyer on somone. gramble/lyerla. anyone...dj williams sucks, and the hooman isn't a receiving threat.
I kinda like Xavier Grimble out of USC or Jo Don Duncan from Dixie St. and of course Colt Lyerla is out there

I watched a lot of Yawin Smallwood. Since he was a freshman. The kid has great instincts, hits hard, makes interceptions, gets after it. He is going to be a good pro. Poor kid just got totally washed out his senior year under the tutelage of Paul Pasqualoni. Was a shell of himself as the team devolved under a totally unprepared coach. If he had kept going under his previous coach, he would have gone in the 2nd or 3rd. A shame he's still around in the 6th.

Probably safety. But I don't really have a problem with what we have there right now. Harmon looked decent. I can work with Chung as a backup when we have Revis and Browner on the outside, McCourty up top, and Mayo/Collins covering the middle.

I'm right. Shmessy's wrong, but trolling anyway.

This is how the game plays out, pretty much every time. It's what he and I do. Feel free to take it up with him, though.

I'm going to end up being OK with the picks, I don't think it's a bad draft, I just think it could have been so much better and that's why I'm so flat right now. I'm an advocate for a power and dominant run game so I like the shift in that direction but we've not added any speed to the defense which I think is a real issue and we've not upgraded the offensive playmakers so I still think there's opportunities missed. I'd be feeling a lot better if we'd had a KPL or Telvin Smith instead of one of these linemen.

I don't care if they are unlikely to make the team; at least take a shot on a need position.

Also they are more likely to make the team than other spots where we have more established veterans with a record of playing well.

Who cares what your opinion is of the pick... You have no basis to back it up one way or the other.
I have plenty to back it up, how about the fact that he was rated as the #292 prospect in the draft, and graded out as a seventh round – UDFA prospect.

Let us be realistic here DaBruinz you have NEVER said one negative thing about any decision Belichick has made so how the heck can anything you say be taken with any objectivity. You defend everything like Belichick ****’s roses, and that destroys your creditability for me.

My assessment of our draft –

Easley – great pick
JG – good player/disliked the pick
Stork – Meh pick
White – Meh pick
Fleming – good pick
Halapio – not a good pick

Your assessment of our draft –

Easley – Best pick EVER
JG – AMAZING PICK
Stork – GREAT PICK
White – SUPER PICK
Fleming – BESTEST PICK
Halapio – BB is having a GREAT DRAFT THIS PICK RULES

Whose assessment do you think is more believable?

I am with you brother. Bryan Stork and Jon Halapio were both graded as late seventh – UDFA. There were better options on the board
Really? Graded by who? Which team had them graded there? Please enlighten everyone..

BTW, maybe you should actually look around and see that Stork was graded a 3rd-5th rounder by Several of the big names (ourlads, lindy's).

People like yourself hold these stupid sites as friggin gospel when it comes to rating players, but you don't bother to check to see that most of them have less than a 40% success rate on judging how players actually do..

The QB and RB picks have thrown off the draft from that perspective more than that last lineman, I think.

Just food for thought.

At this stage does it really matter if its a draft pick or UDFA that fills those needs? I think the talent drop off between now and the end of the draft is minimal and we can get similarly graded guys as free agents. In UDFA we can also bring in multiple guys to compete for a roster spot and take more risks on health/character. I would rather go BPA now and try and get someone falling then try to fill a need.

First special teams guy off the board.

Steelers get yet another great value that should have been off the board a long time ago.

We haven't gotten our annual special teams maven yet

You don't have ANYTHING to back it up. NOTHING. Zilch. Zero. And it's about time you got your head out of your arse to realize that. These stupid sites are significantly worse than NFL teams when it comes to predicting players.

BTW, don't be a jackarse and put words in my mouth. I haven't given ANY sort of assessment on the draft, nor am I going to. Furthermore, your an ignorant arse if you believe I've never said anything negative about a BB decision. But, that is par for the course when it comes to you. You talk out your arse with no facts to back yourself up. And when people show you things that blow up your asinine posts, you pathetically attempt to spin your way out of it.

Steelers get a really good football player in Zumwalt. He will fit their defensive identity and attitude perfectly

It's a damn good thing the Pats have people who actually have a bit of skill doing their drafting instead of people that can't do anything but parrot what the "experts" say. Without doing any research into this, I'm pretty confident saying that 80% or more of the first round and 95% of the rest of this draft has not gone the way the so called experts say it should have. God forbid anyone do anything other than precisely what Mel Kiper says they should. After all, if NE had listened to him we could have had perennial all-world WR David Terrell instead of that bum Seymour we got stuck with.

Time for a LB or TE. At this point I would not be surprised if BB takes a chance (and creates controversy) by taking Lyerla.

I don't care where a guy is graded at this point. There is a large grading discrepancy after the 3rd round. Even in the 1st a lot of people had Nix as a guy there but he didn't go till the 3rd

I don't think a lot of guys were graded well this year. Not to say I completely ignore grades cause I don't but I don't nitpick over a 6th rounder. They took Halapio cause they thought he was the best guard for them at this point. That is not a stretch. A lot of the guards left at this point have question marks anyway.
