He is someone BB looked at carefully and if we were going to take him it would have been in round 4 i think. Obviously BB decided against him and went for different guys.

So Mettenberger has gone from potential 1st round pick to undraftable because of red flags, but some are not willing to believe that Mallett would have been a 1st round pick without the red flags
