Problem is they can't fit all of them on the roster.

We say that but they just keep turning over the bottom 3rd of the roster. They are also smart on how they do it by taking some injury risks that go on IR to spread them out a bit. They are easily going to have the deepest roster in the league.

BJGE hasn't been on the team since 2011. The Pats have had a top 10 rushing offense each of the two years since BJGE has left the team. Stop! Please Stop!

I've been rolling on the floor laughing uncontrollably at Deus' claim. You nailed it!

Geez, when oh when can they ever get a running game to match what they had when BJGE was here????????? :D

I like this aspect. Would have been nice to keep Blount though if that's the way we are going. I like the idea of a power run game though.

Maybe they'll use a 6th rounder to double dip at RB. White to replace Woodhead (what Washington was supposed to do last year) and backup Vereen. A bruiser to replace Blount and backup/compete with Ridley.

Not neccessarily.a s far as vereen not being healed.

This tells me that Vareen has not recovered from his wrist injury

Tells me that they wanted a guy that if Vereen gets injured or if Ridley gets the fumbles can fill in.
Also probably has a little to do with neither Ridley or Vereen being under contract after this season.

Also doesn't hurt that White has kick off returning experience.

Only thing the pats have not addressed is the backup tight end spot.

??????

I'm not sure what you mean. They drafted a guy to come in at the back end after 'established' troubled RBs were already on the roster. He's the BJGE replacement, but he was a 4th round pick instead of a UDFA.

Well so far this has been a pretty good day. addressed OL and RB. Not the players I would have picked but solid enough choices from what I have read.

4 picks left. We need to address TE, LB and S in round 6.

Still some options.

Only thing the pats have not addressed is the backup tight end spot.

Backup linebacker (particularly coverage LB) unless they plan on converting Chung/Wilson/Ebner to the hybrid SS/LB role.

Backup outside CB if Ryan is moving to safety, and if going with a 3 CB / 1 FS starting "base" secondary.

Good 3rd day after baffling 1st two days. I'd rate it a C+ so far. Good pick in Stork, needed a center, and he won the award for best center. James White, not a bad pick, I probably would have gone De'Anthony Thomas here (before Stork), he adds some value as a kick returner and adds explosiveness which we really don't have. Would have been worth the homerun chance here, oh well, then go O-Line. Fleming, a nice BIG tackle. Solid 4th round. Apparently BB feels no additions are needed at TE (Gronk questionable) and WR (Dobson questionable). Steelers are DESTROYING this draft, A+ all the way. Additions of Dri Archer and Martavis Bryant make their offense explosive and Shazier and Tuitt add tons of talent to their defense. We need to steal their draft guru.

The Steelers may very well destroy this draft but isn't it a little early to give out grades before we see any players in action? Also, the Steelers were a 500. team the last two years so I wouldn't be the first in line to steal their draft guru.

Lyerla at TE has to happen in the 7th

Arthur Lynch gone to the Dolphins..

I am curious to see if DJ Williams will be able to show up at camp. I mean he won the Mackey award in 2010, so from a college persepective the potential/fundamentals should be there. Not sure if anyone we could get at this point in the draft, could be considerably better.

And then of course is still the matter of Dustin Keller..

Ooh, didn't think they'd go for Fleming. Powerful but not terribly athletic, projects to RG. Maybe the suggestions that they'd changing their approach to OLs in the post-Dante world were right?

On the plus side for all you "value" fans, he was projected to go higher.

We've been admonished not to post anything like that here by the thread polizei

Isiah crowell , tripp and Marcel jensen will be the 6th round pickaroos.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pats take Blake Annen for TE.. if he lasts to them

Don't know why Fleming was so high. He resembles a tree. Maybe convert him to dl like landry used to do.

Too early to be sure, but it looks like the new OL regime wants size more than quicks
