I like these OL picks. It gives some depth with big men. Stork can play C or G and Flemming can play T or G.

I want an OLB plus Gator Hoskins

Does not drafting a TE, mean Gronk will start game 1? BB definately has a plan , as he doest seem to be as worried as we are about LB, SS, and TE .

I assume that Fleming will replace Cannon on the roster in 2015. I'll have to revisit Fleming.

Why would Fleming replace Cannon? If one of them is starting, the other is a back-up at both positions..

The Jaguars are having an absolutely excellent draft thus far. That 2nd round of their's was phenomenal. They continue like this, and they'll be a threat in that division in a couple of years.

So for 4 months people talked about them needing to get OL help in the draft, needed to get an inside pass rusher and probably needed to take a RB with different questions about Vereen and Ridley.

Pats have filled 4 needs in 5 picks. Disagree on the personnel all you want but you can't say they haven't used the draft to draft certain needs on the team.
QB is a need at the end of the year as well. 5 out of 5.

Fleming is a less athletic cannon. Tripp or exum would have been nice!

Last year of Cannon's contract. Fleming seems to be a similar type to me.

I know people want to make immediate reactions to the draft, but seriously how does anyone know if the picks are bad or good. I look at whether the draft addresses needs and whether the players drafted have upsides. Other than Garoppolo, I think every pick fills that category. Time will tell if they realize their upside.

Some of the drafts that have been trashed by people on this board on draft day have ended up being good drafts (last year for example).

I love the draft so far. I really wanted a ferocious inside pass rusher. That's exactly what Easley is. I wanted us to fix our interior OL. Stork can give us a center that doesn't get pushed around as much and we can either kick Flemming or Cannon inside now and hopefully fix RG that way.

I find it interesting, while the rest of the league is getting smaller and faster to get after the QB, the Pats are getting bigger and nastier to run it down people's throats.

Atlanta and the Rams have done the same thing.

The OL is on the way towards being bigger and stronger, which does address a need in the middle.

I like this aspect. Would have been nice to keep Blount though if that's the way we are going. I like the idea of a power run game though.

Hart, Smith and Yankey all gone. Surprised McCullers is still there.

Pretty nice highlight package for a guy who shared carries. Also, reportedly good blocker, receive and never fumbles.

lol where's the defense on all those runs! Way to contain the edge! :p

James hurst broke his leg in the unc bowl game. He would have been a great pick there. Fleming is cannon without mobility.

Well, it hasn't been an exciting draft, even by Patriots' low standards. A good draft? Who knows?

I think Easley was a great pick...the rest, we'll see. The Pats filled their reserve/deveopmental needs - backup QB post-Mallett, 4th RB, 2 big OL. They need a #4 linebacker still - hoping for Tripp.

I didn't go into this draft thinking the Pats would select more than 1 or 2 who might help out this year. They are incredibly deep and don't pick high enough to get impact (Easley might be that exception, though).
