Jesus, did you just delete from your memory our FA aqusitions this year?
Obviously he can't, and thinks IR vets are gone for good, never to return.

Three guys coming off injury-riddled seasons to mentor a rookie coming off an injury-riddled college career.
before last year Kelly and wilfork missed a total of 21 games in 18 seasons between them so I don't see why they can come back and play a full season and your forgetting Chris Jones who lead all rookie DT's in sacks last year

Im sorry, but only a moron would think the Patriots have had a good draft so far. No immediate help for Brady whatsoever. Brady was sacked more times last year since his first season, do we improve the Oline ? We've kept harping ALL offseason about Brady not having enough weapons, and all BB has gotten Brady is Brandon Friggen Lafell. We don't know if Gronk will ever be Gronk again, do we draft insurance, no. Our best rookie WR is hobbling around in a walking boot, yet do we draft a WR in the DEEPEST WR draft ever ? Nah why do that ? BB literally could have stayed home and had a monkey made the moves he made today.

I wish the media had balls enough to call him out on his poor drafting. But they are too afraid of COACH Belichick, they should be ripping apart GM Belichick. All of our enemies have gotten stronger, but not us. Terrible draft, only a moron or BB apologist thinks he's done well the last two days. Keep watching him waste away Brady's chances. Hope you enjoy it.

What are you worried about? Our first round pick has only blown out both knees, and we got a backup QB in the second. What else could you possibly ask for? The draft is all about experimentation - not talent influx.

Yeah - they were healthier in their 20's. That's weird. I'd like to forget Chris
Jones but I didn't.

Having a GOAT QB and playing in a weak division certainly help.

The Pats made them that way. BTW the AFCE was the second strongest division in football by outside division records, bro...

Not really. Great QB + horrible division = 10 wins.

I can't help but feel disappointed that anyone here would use the same excuses for the Patriots success as Jets fans.

I am also wondering why people feel so certain that a player would have been available in a later round. Did you get a chance to see every teams draftboard? How can you know?

Drafting a QB the same year your starter turns 37 can't be the worst thing you can do.

Talent influx was what was wanted and that is what they got. The Pats think long range, and these guys may contribute when they are groomed properly. You seldom win with rookies, as rookies son, so don't count on them to do so.

Why not do better than the worst? Maybe BB could give TFB some more weapons or some extra protection?

When that 37 yr old QB has a terrible lack of talent around him, it is close to the worst thing you can do.

No, they got a backup QB and a James Andrews regular.

Honestly, I don't really care about your opinion on football. I actually think it is pretty awful. It is probably best to put me on ignore and keep it moving.

You don't care but you feel the need to reply to him? Why don't you put him and me on ignore, bra.

You can tell a person who repeats the idiotic statement that the Pats our only good b/c of the weak AFC East. Is a slave to media narrative. B/c it is literally factually incorrect.

No you could trade him or let him retire gracefully.

Here's your new weapon Tommy. He won't contribute to your success one bit, but he'd sure like you to mentor him a little. Is that cool?

The deepest draft in years (supposedly), and the Patriots have not made a pick that is going to improve the 2014 team through three rounds. I like Easley, but the practically universally accepted theory is players don't get back to full strength until the 2nd yr back from ACL surgery.

See Peterson, Adrian. RB. Minnesota Vikings.

ACL surgery and recovery are light years ahead of where they used to be.

If your man Mallett wasn't utter dogshit as a QB they wouldn't have drafted Garoppolo.

And maybe he will. Did you know that the 2014 NFL Entry Draft is not the only time players will be acquired by the New England Patriots? That the draft is not over yet?

So because Peterson recovered quickly everyone else will recover that fast?

I hate this pick. He is going to take my holding job on extra points and Field Goals.

Don't worry Ken - you'll always have those videos of BB. You can arrange with him for a long-term pension type arrangement by now I would think.

Yeah, and they could have done an even better job by effectively utilizing that pick.
