For what though pick #101, or a future pick in 2015, I mean with JG here now screw it get something for Mallett but a fourth rounder is a far cry from the turning down second round picks as suggested earlier in the offseason.

Agree, I also think tight end and interior o-line should be addressed pretty soon as well.

Nah! Because Fedorowicz wasn't going to be available when the Pats drafted in the 3rd. I am thinking more of a Eli for Rivers type of trade. Trade draft picks after both teams already selected. The Texans selected a guy the Pats would want to trade for.

ESPN just said they would have taken Manziel if he dropped to them. Basically we selected are third choice in a poor QB draft.

The #Patriots were waiting to see if they could draft a QB they liked before they attempted to trade Ryan Mallett. They have him now.

I hope all you guys saying CJF was picked to be part of a trade to New England are right. Him & Gronk would be a dream for the RBs.

is it me or does Jimmy G look better than Bortles...on the field, that is?

Just bear in mind that the Pats looked at EVERY QB in this draft. They must like Garoppolo and his fit.

I know who Garoppollo is, he is the fastest rising QB as far as talent and a really intriguing player...I don't need help or sarcasm....I like him as a player, Best mechanics of the QBs in the draft and ridiculous numbers at Eastern Illinois, but NOT this early............I just think there is better use of that pick at that point....

Sorry just want my team to WIN now and stay competitive for the future

They said a bunch of teams that don't need QBs viewed him as a late first round pick

Either way... I'm looking forward to seeing him in camp and preseason.

I dont believe anything which Rapsheet says. He has no clue about the pats draft room. If he did he shouldve said this yesterday not now.

Where to these insiders get their info anyways? Patriots keep things pretty tight. Just find a lot of those reports hard to believe.

If they think he could be Brady's heir I am fine with the pick, if they just think he's a 4 year backup ala Mallett then it's a waste. From what I gather on twitter, it's the former.
