I think the main mistake is that we are pretty much sitting pat on getting any offensive play makers. No TE, no WR. We are relying on a plethora of above average to good players but not good enough to overcome a top flight defense.

I don't mind the first two picks but we seemingly gave up on seeking a real weapon for Tommy...

wow -- Garoppollo. I think the Pats seriously don't believe they can retain mallet. i'll admit garappollo fits the brady timeframe better but... I would have taken the risk of shipping mallet off. maybe we will by the trade deadline if JG comes along faster than expected.

I keep telling myself that we build a team through the draft and address weakness in free agency, now I only have to write it 500 times.

Mallet has been here long enough to show the Pats if he is the future of the team or not. They might just cut the guy. Who knows?
