Solid day 1. What players do you guys like in day 2? Tuitt, Richburg, Amaro, Lee, ASJ, CJF, Nix, etc. still out there. Plenty of good players should be available at 62.

I expect Mallett to be traded, but a lot will depend on what houston picks with its second round selection. If they go QB like David Carr, then I would think Mallett stays in NE.

Joel Bitonio for today. The rest of my guys are day 3 targets.

But frankly, after losing Buchannon and picking an (albeit talented) guy with an ugly medical history, I'm already perilously close to "Eh, whatever. %$#& it" mode.

I think it's pretty likely that the following are all gone by 62:

Tuitt
Nix
Hageman
Jernigan

Lawrence
Ealy
Attaochu
Van Noy

Lee
Latimer
Robinson

Carr
Garoppolo
Savage

Sua-Filo
Moses
Kouandijo
Bitonio

Amaro
ASJ

That is 20 individuals. I like Richburg, Niklas and Ellington at 62, but I could see Richburg being gone by that point too. Could also have our pick of the RBs.

I want Jace Amaro or another move Tight end. Patriots NEED another TE. if they go DT in the first round(which they did) and TE in the 2nd that fills two major needs.

Pats could move up a bit in the 2nd if someone special fell to late teens with a 3rd or late 20s with their 4th. As always a function of the other team willing to trade down.

I don't think easly clears the rotational problem at DE(nor Will Smith)
So, i'm hoping for either a DE, a TE or a OL today.
Also envision a bunch of deals for the pats, with trading ups and downs

I wish people would start referring to the "move" Tight End as its proper name: H-Back.

Guys I like for #62...

Chris Borland, LB, Wisconsin - It's the obvious comparable, but think Zach Thomas.

Troy Niklas, TE, Notre Dame - Only because I think ASF and Amaro will be gone.

Weston Richburg, C, Colorado State - Much like Easley, I think the Pats will value his versatility.

Trai Turner, OG, Louisiana State - I think Turner can play center.

I want Jace Amaro or another move Tight end. Patriots NEED another TE. if they go DT in the first round(which they did) and TE in the 2nd that fills two major needs.

This. This. This.

Unless Mark Harrison is ripping things up in OTA's.

The second part was half a joke. Who knows? He's huge.

I wonder if it's worth it to trade up and get Lee or Mathews

62. Van Noy or Attaochu
93. CJ Fiedorowicz

That will do for me. 62 being a trade down would be nice too.

A couple of nuggets from last night. Dallas was on the phone to Shazier when the Steelers took him the pick before. And the Vikings tried to trade into the Eagles spot to get Manziel but the Browns made the better overall offer.

It will be interesting to see how much BB likes Van Noy. He certainly has the character BB would love.

Glaring needs at center and safety.

A potential Mallett trade changes everything. I really want Mason, but without an extra 2nd or 3rd, he's not a good value for us.

With a Mallett trade for pick 65:

62. ASJ
65. Richburg or Martin
93. Tre Mason
130. Aaron Murray
140. BPA
198. Michael Sam
206. Logan Thomas (TE)
244. BPA

Without a Mallett trade:

62. ASJ
93. Best available center

I really want Mason though :D.
