Pats 2014 Schedule

Dolphins get the Patriots in the heat of the day to start off the season, but the Patriots can't even get a 4pm time on their game in case of colder weather during week 15?

That sucks.

Actually like the schedule except for one major problem.....opening in Miami is awful....especially for those New Englanders who want a break from the snow in December. The team will have to deal with the heat which could be a factor.

I think it might be better starting the season down there because they'll be acclimated to the summer heat, whereas 80s/humid in mid-October or November would be more of a shock to the system.

The Pittsburgh debacle notwithstanding, no team is better prepared for weather—whatever it might be—than New England.

One thing to note right now: the Patriots have five night games scheduled, two of which cannot be flexed (the Monday and Thursday games).

No team can have more than six (and only three teams per season can have that many). So unless they flex a game out, no more than one of the Pats' games can be flexed into primetime.

Do you guys think the Jets Thursday night will be absurdly expensive or will it be cheaper because it's Thursday?
It's listed as a "marquee" game, so it will likely be expensive with the new structure the Pats have set up.

The first thing I always look for is when they get a bye. This year, in week 10, I think it's ideal. Perfect way to get some time off and rest up before those final 6 games.

Then there's the annual Manning Bowl. Once agin, it looks like the NFL is trying to put it's over-sized thumb on the scale by giving the Broncos a 10-day rest up before traveling to Gillette. I hope the Patriots give the broncos an epic beatdown as a way of pissing in the NFL's cornflakes.

WOO HOO - LONG weekend in KC - ANOTHER Monday Night Game in KC. Last time we played them on Monday Night? We WON the SB!!! Hoping for the SAME this year.

Damn. Looks like I'm only going to Miami. I was hoping San Diego would come in September or early October since I'll be going to California for five days around then. That said, the bye between Denver and Indy is nice. Those are going to be two tough weeks. On top of that, we should be able to at least go 3-1, if not 4-0, until Browner gets back. I'm looking forward to the Packers game the most as there should be some playoff ramifications on both sides for that bad boy.

Only thing that stinks about the KC game - NO Browner - bummer.

i disagree... broncos would happily give the extra few days rest in exchange for playing the Pats at home for a change...

for the 3rd straight year NFL puts Denver at Gillette for their reg season matchup...

Yes, but that's formulaic.

Welcome to NFL scheduling. Glad you made it. The Pats will be at Denver again next year. They played in Denver in '09 and '11. They would have played there in 2010 if they played one another that year. Every three years they'll shift.

And for the next 2 years, NE will travel to Denver if both teams finish in the same position in their division, with a guaranteed NE @ Denver in 2017.
