Welcome to the new forum!

Ian, here's something I've noticed. If I type up a post in a thread, and then decide not to send the post and leave the thread, that post is still there when I come back, no matter how often I cut it. It stays, in that thread, until I actually post something.

It doesn't happen every time, though, so there must be a trigger of sorts.
Yes, I noticed it automatically saves a draft after a bit, so that's probably why it's there. I keep finding little things that this software does that I wasn't aware of :)

Also just softened the white - should be a little easier on the eyes now.
Thanks, Ian, I was about to ask for that. Now it's perfect.

Just in case someone doesn't know, you choose the jersey number by clicking on the jersey under your username and avatar to the left. Took a minute or two browsing the profile settings before I figured it out.

Getting overwhelmed by all the new features here. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this. This is a lot cooler than the old forum.

sorry for delay Ian - it looks so good !!! great as always

Is it possible to replace the "Old" icon with Peyton Manning's head?

I just realized, I think user tagging is an option. @Joker can tell me if this worked to get his attention, but I'm pretty sure it does :)

Was going to ask if this was a possible feature, good to see that it's included! It could come in handy over on the draft forum.

Thanks for the reply, Husse. For some reason, I'm still not seeing it though. I see the timestamp that you're speaking of that says "Husse, Today at 5:29am," but after that there's nothing until you get all the way over the right. When you get all the way over to the right there are options for "like, quote, and reply."

EDIT: :)

And there it is....thanks again.

I'm glad I could help.

Running Safari on a MAC.
The forum is a page in the middle with blue background blank space on both sides
Can't see any sidebar with tweets or Pats writers stuff. I miss that feature.
The Ctl +/_ changes text size, not the width of the narrow text page
Any MAC users know of some adjustment I can make?

Thanks!

I am running windows 8 with chrome 33.1 and the forum looks just as you described it so I do not think it is a MAC issue. My thinking is the sidebar things (twitter, etc.) have not been installed yet because Ian is still rebuilding the scripts.

The sidebar only shows up if your screen is a high enough resolution, Ian posted the minimum needed for the bar to show a page or so back.

I like the new look and content, now I have a learning curve to work on, thanks for your hard work.

Well its been a couple of days now and lets see about my wish list:

1. Quote feature - check
2. Back to the board feature on the top AND bottom - check
3. Full featured font/bold/and everything else tool bar - check
4. more ways to reflect your opinion about someone's post - check

There's nothing I want - perfect Ian

BTW- just a couple of quick questions. What are trophy points? What are the ratings categories about? Are our former "likes" going to be carried over eventually?

It's going to take a little time getting used to, but overall I love it. Definitely agree with more posts on a page, especially with the traffic this site has it'll make it alot easier reading threads. Great work Ian!

Not sure if anyone has pointed it out, but in the forum you can click on the bullet point next to the thread title and it takes you directly to the first unread post you missed since the last time you viewed the thread. Good stuff.

Yes, that took me a bit to find but it's good to know. Seems to work more accurately than the button on the previous forums, too, as I used to click that and be taken to posts I had already browsed through. That hasn't happened yet since the migration.

This is just a test post I guess. Its going to take some getting used to. The only thing I'd ask for is if we could get a bit more bolder lines between posts and on the main forum if the page numbers can be shown without having to hover over each topic. And I may have missed this but is there anyway to increase the number of posts per page. Typically on any forum I use I prefer to have at least 30 posts per page and right now it looks like default 20. Just wanting to know if we are able to increase it ourselves.

Thanks Ian. The old system was such a resource hog on older machines that I lost interest. It would also crash my browsers. So far this seems much better. The bells and whistles are nice, but for me it's all about the content. Well done.

I just increased it to 30. Thought I had already done that, but apparently not.

Haven't gone into the personal settings regarding user adjustments myself. I'll spend some time looking at that and see what options might exist for that.

Yeah, it was pretty brutal. This is definitely much more streamlined and certainly operates much better. Hopefully it works better overall for you.
