Colin Kaepernick Investigated for Sexual Assault

I find it hard to be sympathetic for her she wasn't exactly partying with the sisters of the poor...what exactly did she expect.:bricks:

I find it strange that everyone is avoiding the key issue here. Is he Persian or not?

no....but he lies like a rug....:drum:

I actually like the way Colin plays football and know he's a double threat in the sport in terms of his running/ throwing. So you need to stop going around and acting like you know why I like who I do. You seem to want to follow me around the board and poke at me for no good reason. If you are going to continue this than I ask you put me on ignore.

I am copying your own words in bold below:

Marnilink no need to confront Colin's haters. They think he's a punk because of his tats, his touchdown celebration, because he wore another team's hat, because he's very confident etc.
So do you actually think Colin's haters are going to be fair and go he's innocent till proven guilty route in this case? OF COURSE NOT

The Colin Haters immediately believe it to be true and they actually want it to be true. So they can say see he's a punk, he's bad etc.

Before you chastise someone for assuming what your reasons are for liking a player, you might want to look in the mirror.

You cast a rather wide net around ALL the Kaep "haters" by saying they ALL think he's a punk for the tats, etc. They ALL want him to be guilty. Right?

Yet, you are also the one "going around acting like you know why they think like they do." RIGHT?

There have been many here who have stated they do not like Kaepernick for reasons other than your stated reasons, and who say he is presumed innocent. And yet you make your assumptions and generalizations.

I would think you, of all people, would know a little something about throwing stones?

People can dislike Kaepernick, or Tebow for that matter, without having offensive reasons. You seem to be unable to see that. I happen to love Kaep the player and am kind of meh on the person. I loathe Tebow the player, and love Tebow the person. I have my reasons. You should not assume what they are. Or if you are curious, just ask.

It's hardly a stretch for someone to think they know why you are so quick to defend Kaepernick (and Tebow). And it's probably not a bad reason for you to defend them, quite frankly. Although I would always remember, WE don't really know what these people are really like. We know what we know from afar. Remember when O.J. was the most likeable NFL personality?

Actually, the quote of hers that you used is pretty much on point. You seem to be ignoring the "etc..." at the end of her sentences.

Et cetera means and so on. I can only assume the "and so on" pretty much follows the rest of the list. She may be right with some of the "haters" but it is faulty as a generalization...as generalizations usually are. Again, she was calling someone out for presuming to know her inner thoughts/feelings, but doesn't have a problem tossing labels at those who do not like her player.

But, again, she's pretty much on point. You can call it labels, but it's the reality of the responses to the situation. Your issue really seems to come down to the way people colloquially write about groups with the assumption that the readers understands there may not be 100% coverage: "Men are pigs" v. "All men are pigs".

We had this same thing end up happening with the Tebow threads. Hell, for that matter, we've seen it, albeit to a lesser extent and for different base reasons, with the DeSean Jackson and Chris Johnson threads, too.

I'll wait until the facts come out.

If he did anything like this, he should face the consequences. If he didn't, he doesn't deserve to have his reputation smeared.

That's pretty much what it comes down to. I don't think we know enough about any of it yet to be honest.

All men are pigs???...well, all I can say is you ain't ever seen MY ex-wife....blue ribbon winner Washington County Fair five years running...

Worth repeating no matter which way this goes

I for one hope it's false

If tats = criminal punk then half of NH will soon be arrested

Just curious PWP ... Which half will you be in?

You have a Sanchez jersey tat on your azz cheek....? :D

Let's be careful with that. Where was it reported that they were ALL smoking weed?

The Police report according to NESN:

UPDATE 1:31 p.m.: The alleged incident took place on April 1 at Ricardo Lockette’s apartment, police told The Sacramento Bee.

A woman went to the apartment and drank and smoked marijuana with the players, the police report said.

Does not necessarily mean ALL the players. Could have been one or two or all three.

I'll withhold making a definitive statement until there is more real proof there. Remember, this is a testimony from someone who hasn't been clear as to what actually happened to her.

It's still too unclear.

Its becoming clearer that this whole thing is pretty much "much ado about nothing". The girl admitted to having sex with Kapernick prior to this evening, and she's not even sure a crime was committed. TMZ should be censored in some way though. Even though if you parse the the words enough on their headline, they weren't TECHNICALLY wrong, in the end all they've done elevate their own image at the expense of a someone else's reputation. (what a shock

HOWEVER, I do find it interesting that no is denying that weed was being smoked by players prior to the black out. And while I personally don't give a ***** about who smoked dope or not, the NFL still does. So while Kapernick, et al are likely to skate on the issue of "who did what to who", it will be interesting to see what the league does about the use of "drugs". Probably nothing involving a suspension, but more likely the proverbial "first strike", which means more testing.

You never liked him so you will say he's not a leader. You have always said it before, so of course you continue to say it now. There is no best case scenario in this case until the investigation is complete. You don't think he's a leader, well fine don't follow that team. I will wait until the investigation is complete before I judge.

Of your 632 posts on this site, 90% of them are defending and advocating for Tim Tebow or Colin Kaepernick. Therefore, when you talk about me not liking someone and that is the reason I say what I say as if I have an alternative motive for my posts it is highly hypercritical. If this was not Kaepernick you would have thrown the book at the player and we both know that.
