Kelvin Benjamin blows off workout.

Curious move. If you must, tell the team you pulled a hammy or don't want to run on advice of your agent. Why would you say "I'm too tired"?

Wow, Benjamin is off my radar now. Even if he's getting advice from the agent to blow off the workout, and that might just be an excuse, I just don't like seeing that. He already has some flags with possible weight issues and 'work ethic' questions. And now he won't even workout at a prearranged meeting?

We're beginning to see the warning signs of a 'diva' here. Nooo thanks. Let's look at a Moncrief or a Latimore instead. Those guys are faster and don't have the same kind of flags I'm seeing pop up here.

Well, if it were the JEST, I'd do almost anything in my power not to get drafted by them. ;)

never liked him to begin with I see him as someone with huge bust potential

So, a slightly less athletic Big Mike Williams, but without the work ethic?

Ouch.

Having previously (multiple times) stated my disdain for Benjamin as a high Patriots pick, and comparing him to other large sized stiffs such as (as Patschick just did) Big Mike Williams, as well as Limas Sweed and Patrick Turner, this gives me good belief that he wouldn't be drafted by the NEP unless it was round 3 or later.

He did nothing against Auburn's defensive backfield until the game winning laser from tough as nails Jameis, save for drop a few crucial passes that killed drives earlier in the game. He failed to get off press coverage. He's slow and too big.

Do. Not. Want.

Stiff for a WR... but what if he took over Aaron Hernandez role as move TE?

So are his chances of being drafted by New England.

It really doesn't matter how much talent a kid has in college if their personality is that of a person who glides by on their talent. When they make it to the pro's they are all talented and the ones who succeed are the ones who do the hard work to become as good as they can be, and guys like benjamin end up getting cut a couple of years into their rookie deals when their act grows old and production diminishes to the point where guys off the street who simply work hard surpass them. He sounds like another talented kid with a 2 cent head, I would pass on him altogether at this point.

Sounds perfect for it, as soon as practice ends he would move as fast as he can to get to the club and burn some nice fat blunts.

Hercules had it right, DO NOT WANT!

Just give the WW interview where every answer includes a foot reference.

That's exactly who I've been comparing him to.

Didn't he workout at the Combines and for our Patriots? I say its a none story the guy had 19.5ypc for a guy his size. I take it you guys wouldn't want the next Megatron or Josh Grodan??? Because we were so good in the RZ minus Gronk.

LOL, Benjamin is nowhere CLOSE to Megatron. And Josh Gordon is a bad drug test away from being suspended by the NFL. Fact is, the reports on him point to Diva-like behavior when he isn't even in the league yet. That's only going to get worse once he gets paid millions.

Benjamin has proven nothing, and the concerns he could turn into Mike Williams, aka big Stiff/Bust, are worrisome.

I would love the next Megatron. Here are his measureables:

6'5" 239 4.35 42.5 11'7"

And here are Benjamin's

6'5" 240 4.61 32.5" 09'11"

Even putting character/work ethic questions aside, they're not in the same ballpark. Johnson is a rare, elite athlete, whereas Benjamin's size and athleticism wouldn't look at all remarkable if you simply put a TE in front of his name.

Seems like the typical case, if the Patriots draft him "He is a beast" if they don't draft him "He is a turd"

I haven't seen a lot of him but in glimpses he has some skills that can not be taught but has a ways to go to become a complete receiver. But the elite red zone skills make up for a lot of deficientcies.

Sounds like it was a team that he doesn't want to play for ... could he have an agreement in place with a team that he DOES want to play for! This move will scare off most teams.

Nah he could be that smart!

Definitely off the Patriots board!

Depending on where he's available I could see BB taking him, after all, we took Randy "I play when I want to play" Moss.
