Well, whatever you think. I don't know about next to nothing on passing downs.

According to Reiss he played the most snaps of any defensive linemen in 2011-2012 period. I'd just like to compare our interior line pressure.

I think Siliga offers more to the pass rush. This article goes in depth about his pass rushing abilites:

Last week I reviewed games of Wilfork and I thought he was still really good against the run, he wasn't moved on double teams, was a good anchor. On passing plays he seemed uninterested he was barley moving.

after watching that chris jones had two guys on him a lot and he was winning his one on one's its just the ball was coming out most of the time under 2 sec cause the coverage was so bad, am looking forward to watching the kid in year two playing next to the vets for a full season

Clearing Lanes: Exploring the Purpose of Patriots Defensive Tackle Sealver Siliga | NEPatriotsDraft.com - 2014 NFL Draft

Are you talking about last year? I watched him and noticed he was in pain, the his achilles let go.

That's why I'm talking about 2011 and 2012 when he was healthy. He had 3.5 and 3.0 sacks respectively. He also had 5 and 6 passes defended in 2011, 2012. By comparison, in 2012 Mayo had 3 and McCourty 9.

I'm sure He wasn't healthy when he played in 2013, so I don't know what a comparison of that is worth. He's my favorite player, so I notice when he has a look of pain and he did.

I film with my Tablet's Camera. I will check out FRAPS though.

Yeah, definitely look into screen capture or recording software, it will be thousands of times better than using your tablet.

Thanks for the work in posting this. If nothing else, I'm impressed by Jones' instincts, and this video only strengthens my wish to see another FA or high draft pick brought into the mix at DE.

people have to cut wilfork a little slack. he got hurt in preseason and was never the same - hence the reason for his "decline."

I also think given his age and number of snaps the past few years, it's understood by the team that he's going to pick his spots.

Certain plays where it becomes immediately obvious he can't make much of a difference (e.g. a drop back where he's double-teamed, a bubble screen, etc.) you'll probably see him give "low effort".

Reminds me of 2001 when we won the SB with a bunch of formerly great players that everyone cut because they were over the hill. The truth was, they were all still great, they just needed to pick their spots, and they all had the experience to be able to do that. That's why we were so incredibly clutch in those days.

Lawrence Taylor talks about it in his autobiography, about how late in his career he could only be the old "LT" every now and then, so he had to be smart about when to turn it on.

I think Wilfork is at that point in his career.
