Sanchez released

So guys like Michael Vick and Matt Schaub are still being brought in to be starting QBs for their teams this year, with other guys like Mark Sanchez being brought in for the top backup role?

And yet a guy like Kirk Cousins receives no attention or trade offers whatsoever?

Hell yes---we're obviously going to be getting a 2nd round pick for Ryan Mallett. The writing is clearly on the wall.

The connection is simple. Mike Lomardi = Bill O'Brien = (now) George Godfrey. Duh.

The new QB coach is obviously calling the shots down in Houston, that's what's clearly happening.

The Onion is sadly becoming a more reliable source of info than most of the Boston media outlets...

Well played.

Maddox and Sanchez will end up remembered about the same success wise.

Chris

I disagree Chris. Nobody around here will ever forget the success of the butt fumble!

Sanchez is the 3rd string QB

$ 2.25M and Vick gets $4M.

Doesn't look like Philly got caught up in a bidding war for Mark. Personally I would rather have Mark cause of the dog thing. If not for the dog thing, then Vick to the Jets is a no brainer. Vick is better then Sanchez. IMHO.

Sanchez, I'm happy and ready to see him move on, fact is he never was able to pull it together and let the game slow down, indecisive, frustrated.

He isn't with out talent, and had some really good games that made you think he could maybe do something. He's rattled now.

2 seasons back when the Jets played the Ravens and Mangold was out, the Jets got thrashed and Mark took a serious beat down, it was ugly.
Either that game or maybe 2 games later Mark (IMHO) hurt his shoulder. After the Ravens game his confidence was gone, possibly a shoulder injury, but he was never good again, at all.

The two play off runs were a blast, and when I think back about Sanchez that is what I will remember.

I wish him good luck, and good riddance. Maybe he can turn it around yet.

yes...we Pats fans can understand that. You DO realize however, what WE will remember about Marky Mark....correct?

I will guess it was not Sanchez having maybe his best game ever knocking the Pats out in the first round. Of course he had help, the Jets were on fire that day, Good times.

:)

It's funny that you mention that, b/c that's pretty much what sticks with me as well.

Obviously, the buttfumble would come first for most, but for me it's the loss in the 2010 season's playoffs at home.

Then, comes the buttfumble as "1b."

The butt fumble, LOL

I will think of the road play off wins, but, I don't ever think I will be able to finish a thought about Mark with out ending it with the butt fumble.

Never will live that one down.

Some species of Lichen are better than Sanchez. Agree, I suppose: This is a good move for the JEST, in relative terms.

On the other hand, it would be hard to make a bad move in terms of filling the big floppy orange shoes left by Mark Sanchez.

As a long-time Pats fan, I have suffered through many an embarrassing time period. But shouldn't they be punctuated now and then by periods of competitiveness, or at least competence? You know, at least sustained multi-season playoff-appearance periods from time to time?

Come on Gunails... nothing is worth what this team is putting you through...

Those articles are not conclusive. I think he starts behind Barkley.

You may be right. I imagine they'll let it sort itself out in TC, but at the moment I haven't seen anything to suggest that he's definitely behind Barkley right now.

As we know, things change between now and the start of the season though.

Sir Charles is an Eagle? When did that happen?

Sir Charles may have looked better behind center than Matt did last year, believe it or not.
