DeSean Jackson Released by Eagles [update]: Signed by Washington

Re: DeSean Jackson will be a Patriot...

Outside of real football talk, the ignorance on here is disgusting.

What ignorance? I just call it how it is, I am not some square fan, I grew and watched many die from both sides.

gee whiz...where on earth would they ever get THAT idea....?

Now this guy is ignorant, don't drag rap through the mud you bigot.

Don't stereotype....

Not every country singer bangs his sister while beating his wife who happens to be his sister.

I fart in your general direction...

And not all middle-aged, bald white men are dangerous criminal masterminds.

Racist, give us Boston fans a bad name.

heh...right, Tupac....here's just a sample of the garbage that passes as "art" in your stunted, malignant dwarved existence...

Hey yo, I smoke dust and shoot cops, sold guns to Tupac
Smoked blunts with Biggie Smalls and sold drugs on newlots
I was too young, couldnt get up in clubs back in the old days
We used rob and terrorize kids in front of homebase
If Funkmaster Flex was inside, rockin the whole place
We was outside, smacking kids and snatchin gold chains
Baggin mad pigeons, catchin mad digits, bad *****es
And when they husbands came around we had to blast bisquits
A bunch of bad Brooklyn kids that always had pistols
Broken dreams and broken homes, we always had issues
And mad problems worshippin gangstas and bankrobbers
Watchin star fade startin fights and rap conscience (?)
Until we realized how to get the real money
Steal money, kidnap money, kill money
Its funny how the money make the whole world love you
Jealous cats hate you, dime pigeons
Little ghetto children run up on you, wanna touch you
Got the IRS lookin at you, wanna **** you
Sniffin so much blow, you don't know if you can trust you
Ecstasy react to what the cocaine and the dust do
Go against the I'll Bill, and Non Phixion will crush you, bust you
Leave you with a tube and ya throat to suck through (?)
We truck jewels, we dust brothers **** mothers
You thugs love us, ? the gunslingers and drughustlers
Where my gangstas at?

Re: DeSean Jackson will be a Patriot...

jets Oakland KC just a few team that will be looking to sign him so there is no way he signs a one year deal for any less then 8 million

Obviously there are some allegations about Jackson which may or may not be true. He may or may not have gang affiliations. The point is, the Patriots after Hernandez can't take that chance. It's a closed conversation. If the Eagles were nervous enough to cut a superstar athlete, the Pats, after what happened with AH, with be almost criminally negligent to bring in D-JAX, no matter the truth of the allegations. They can't take the chance that it even MIGHT be true.

I think Tupac is overrated, I love rap and if he is your go to guy then you clearly know **** about rap, point, blank, period.

Luckily for me I can listen to gangster rap and classic rock back to back without being ignorant, it is all art, like it or not, don't be a racist ass.

Hernandez had a tattoo that said BLOOD SWEAT TEARS.

The media spun this out of control and brought up the fact he could be a "blood" which is absolutely ridiculous. Sadly, idiots like you believed it. Actual members of the gang, including some celebrity rappers, LAUGHED at the fact people were considering him to be a blood. And confirmed he wasn't.

His friends, family, and even pictures of him in all red throwing up gang signs were only tools for the media. If he got popular it was going to come out, and those around him already knew.

Like I said, I know crips and bloods who were executed like Lloyd and who are imprisoned like Hern. You add in DJax fumbling at the goal line and acting stupid on field....well idk what more you want.

I was called an idiot months ago for saying they wouldn't want him, now he is released and allegations of gang activity come out, you still think NE is looking for him, the same NE who didn't want VJax because he held out or Moss because he cried about money after a win? Cmon man. This team is always looking at morals and standards.

People are completely missing the point.

The allegations of Desean Jackson's gang ties could be a complete red herring, and it could be nothing more than Philly trying to justify to their fanbase cutting one of the best offensive players in the league. Everyone could be stereotyping Jackson based on some photos, a couple gang signs, etc.

That could all be true.

But it doesn't matter. Bob Kraft is not going to sign the guy, because the mere perception that he has gang ties is going to deter it - if for no reason other than public relations. I'm sorry, but thank AHern for that.

why are we talking about hernandez? this thread is about jackson no

I think your misunderstanding my post. I agree it doesn't tell you anything. But people are assuming Hip-Hop= bad people.

That's nonsense. Hip-hop doesn't equal "bad people." It equals people -- some good, some bad -- who have poor taste in sound recordings. I mean, syncopated urban slang isn't what you'd call a "deep" art form.

You were right. There were signs, but people wanted to ignore them because of the talent:
Aaron Hernandez -- The Signs of a Gang Member | TMZ.com

There's just been too much gang association for me. There comes a point where you just have to draw the line and say NO.

There's MORE to a football team than just pure talent. A LOT more.

PS I don't care what music people listen to. What I care about is when people get shot and killed. And it has happened. There are so many incidents showing that gang violence is real and it affects celebrities and athletes alike. They aren't above violence just because they cash million dollar paychecks. And THAT is what I don't want on this team.

you can listen to some punk brag about raping women, killing people indiscriminately, robbing and assaulting innocent people on the street, dealing every kind of heavy narcotic, soul murdering illegal drug, impregnating as many women as a dog on the street running wild and then switch to Pink Floyd without missing a beat?

you are a genius....just not on this planet

I don't want to derail this thread, and I'm not going to defend the current state of hip-hop, which has been pretty much ruined by mainstream. But hip-hop began as something that had, and still has, the capability of being something very powerful.

And the lyrics and delivery by people who are truly skilled at it is most certainly art, and it blows away the fluffy pop-crap music that most people listen to.
