DeSean Jackson Released by Eagles [update]: Signed by Washington

He'll end up in Jersey with homey Ron Mexico and the other Green Beans degenerates. I consider this a foregone conclusion.

First, deep threats are overrated. Brady isn't going to get a deep threat and start hucking it down the field.
Just the threat that on any given play Brady could huck it down field opens up a helluva lot of stuff underneath.
Contrary to popular belief, Moss wasn't just running go routes.
In New England, that is true. Prior to New England, he was viewed very much as the way you're describing Jackson
That isn't his game and it isn't utilizing his skills most effectively. Get a deep threat who can play 10 plays a game and that is enough. Brady is a surgeon, not gun slinger. He's not Brett Favre.
Brady is a QB that has the talent to take advantage of whatever tools he has available. No, he didn't throw the ball deep terribly much last year. That might have something to do with the fact that the team's best deep threats were a couple of mediocre-at-best rookies.
Route running CAN BE a function of bad coaching. Most of the time, it is a function of player being incapable of running routes cleanly. There are a lot of bad route running WRs in this league and some of them are on very well coached teams.
Such as..?

Sources reveal that the gang association is true. Jackson has been reportedly tied to GANG GREEN

Where is the photo of Desean at Logan?

So pay big money for a decoy.

Moss wasn't known for his route running prior to NE, but he wasn't considered as limited in that area as Jackson is.

Brady takes advantage of what he has, but he still is not a gunslinger. When you think all of Brady's biggest strength, you see the opposite of a need for a deep threat. Ability to read defenses and see the mismatches, able to thread a needle and through tight passes to only where the receiver can catch it, quick release, ability to mount long substained drives that demoralize defenses.

Such as..?

I can't think of anyone of significance off hand other than former Patriots like Joey Galloway, JJ Stokes, Chad Jackson, and others. But to think any receiver can be trained to be a good or great route runner is a little silly. Some players could have best coaching staff of all time and never learn to run a great route. Good route running is a skill. Some players can do it and others can't.

Fake. Not sure if you wrote it as a joke or you're just following the wrong Schefter, but yeah.

As much as I'd like to Desean burning Talib the red flags are too numerous to risk bringing him in.

I thought it was funny. But like I said, I think the Jets are probably where he ends up anyway.

I am not sure if this has been posted but this is the statement released by Jackson.

A little bush league of the birds to release that alleged info after they cut him though. Seems unnecessary.

Jackson's associated with an accused gang member/murderer the same way Bob Kraft and Bill Belicheck are associated with an accused gang member/murderer. Let's not go too far with this just yet

100 bucks he can't even spell half of that stuff.

He seems to be getting some support from current and former players.

It's hard to believe some people are trying to draw a connection between D Jack and Aaron Hernandez

Did you really just make this analogy?

Honestly, I think the fact that none of his teammates seem to give a crap that he was cut is more of a concern than the purported gang affiliations.

Yeah but realistically what are they supposed to say this was a terrible move by Chip and the organization, these types of situations are hard to gauge in terms of what the players actually think.

Did you really just make this analogy?

Yes because it is an accurate analogy he is associated to an accused murderer who he has signed under his record label and Bob Kraft is associated to an accused murderer who he had signed to an NFL contract. What's so eye rolly about that?

Sign this beast! Either we get him... or the Jets do. I want him on my side next season
