I want to get in the same nursing home with Ben Dreith when I'm 90...that way I can cane him to death and get away with it by pleading senility....or perhaps an attack of sanity

October 30th 2005 if any one can get the importance of that game ill give them a like! and it was amazing!

I may have attended an exhibition game in 1960 but I definitely attended
their very first regular season game on 9/9/1960. I had a heck of a time
finding a parking spot.

The Patriots lost on a last minute field goal. The Patriots' defensive back went for an interception which turned into a long yardage completion.

That D/back was Chuck Shonta and I was there as well.........what a great fun run its been and it aint over yet my brother!!!!!!

I was a little kid back then as my Dad drove in, so I cannot say how bad the parking was at the old BU field.

I believe it was Nov 1967 vs KC at Fenway and Pats were obliterated.

2001 where it was either Brady's second or third start. It was against a Doug Flutie led Chargers I think.

I remember everyone I went with being upset to have to watch the backup QB play (!)

I wasn't a football fan at that point, just went along with some friends. It turned out to be one of the most fascinating seasons and I was hooked by the end.

I'm not sure I would've became a football fan if it was some 8-8 season where there wasn't so much intrigue.

I was at that game. Great game. I was a big Flutie fan when he was a Patriot though I always dumped on BC because my stupid younger brother and my wife's stupid younger brother both went to this perennially overhyped school. But I digress.

Before this game my wife had decided that Brady was Da Man, far better than He's Tall And Has A Strong Arm Drew Bledsoe whom she had correctly soured on before I did. I loved seeing TFB beat the Chaagiz!

I remember seeing a potential INT bounce off Chuck Shonta's chest and into the hands of the opposing receiver.
Years of therapy to deal with my irrational hatred of Native Americans as a result of this trauma.

The return of Tedy Bruschi?

My first game was the 1999 hone opener. Bledsoe vs. Manning. Pats were down 28-3 at the half, but came storming back in the 2nd...with a last second Adam V FG for the win. Amazing game to be at. It was probably Drew's last really great game as a Patriot.

It was in October 1970 at Harvard Stadium vs the Colts and Johnny U. I remember he threw a TD, Pats lost something like 13-10 as I recall. The Pats had just signed Joe Kapp, I recall a lot of unfortunate "cheering" when QB Mike Taliaferro went down with an injury.

so...what I'm seeing is a whole HORDE of Pats fan members who have been here for years but seldom post come out if the woodwork with their old geezer stories...know what I say????

Go Go Geezers...Go!!!!!

our friggin' media has tried to beat us over the head for decades calling our fanbase "frontrunners" and mocking us with "the Patriots never had any real fans until they won a Super Bowl".

You, you fans PROVE what I've always known. In for a penny, in for a pound...FROM THE START!!~ I am personally going to dream of mashing a print out of this thread right in Toeknee Gasbaggarotti's big mouth the next time I see that little rodent above ground.

I saw Joe Kapp attempt a throw in high winds and the ball flew BACKWARDS...those were the daze...

Mid 70's when I was a teen ...

Froze my then skinny ass on the aluminum bench ...

I was a Grogan fan so I was happy anyways ... he was 'The Man' in my eyes.

Oct 12, 1980 The Patriots buried the Dolphins and David Woodley, 34-0 at Foxboro. Griese had a career ending injury the week before. I was 9 years old and all I can remember was what nut-house that stadium was back then.

October 7th 1979, Pats 24 v/s Lions 17. Had season tickets from the 1980 season through the 84 season, section 325 I believe in the old stadium. I then got a new job with only every third weekend off so that kind of damper on getting to games.
