Dude, that is just not applicable nor funny. 230 people died.
Who said anything about "funny"? Of course it was tragic. It also is an overdone story by the media. Now do you get it?

Rumor Central now taking a 180 on DeSean Jackson

Source: Jackson telling Eagles teammates he's staying | Philly.com

In the latest twist of As DeSean Jackson Turns, the wide receiver called a few teammates on Tuesday morning to tell them he was staying with the Eagles a day after he spoke with coach Chip Kelly, a source close to the situation told The Inquirer.

Early Tuesday morning Jackson posted the following on Instagram and Twitter with a picture of a laughing Kelly chasing him last season during practice with a paddle: "Good to Talk to BIg Chip today !! Say or hear what ya want !! The Picture speaks for itself !! Winner…"

Kelly is scheduled to meet with reporters on Wednesday, but he and the organization appear to have had a change of mind, unless Jackson misinterpreted his conversation with his coach. Kelly and Jackson had not spoken prior to the call since the end of the season, a source close to Jackson said.

The Eagles were reportedly seeking at least a third-round draft pick for Jackson, but sources said they were unlikely to get as much and may have had to release him if they didn't want him back. So the Eagles stood the chance of getting nothing in return for the 27-year old, who was coming off the best season of his career.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, when asked about Jackson on Monday, would only say that he remained under contract. He didn't comment when asked if Jackson would be on the team by April 21.

I've said all along that this whole trade thing might be just a ploy to prove a point to the contentious Jackson. There is nothing like hearing publicly from teams that they don't value your services as highly as you do, to put you in your place. And if that doesn't do it, hearing that the Jets ARE interesting in trading for you, is reason enough to make you want to run home to Chip and beg forgiveness. ;)

Jackson: "You mean Chip, if I keep flapping my mouth, you'll trade me to the Jets?

Kelley: "yup"

Jackson: "Then I'll be good, I promise. Not that! Please not that! Forgive me."

jets fans are going to lose it again :rocker:

Aha! So the whole thing was cooked up by Kelly and BB in a Machiavellian plot to make Jets' fans lose their minds one last time before the draft!

Oh, these NFL coaches are 5 steps ahead of us!

TB=TD and Tunescribe, I bet if you had family on the plane would you feel the same way? I highly doubt it.

Your umbrage is misplaced. It was a comment regarding media coverage specifically, not making light of the obvious tragedy. If I had family on that plane the very last thing I'd be worried about is CNN's coverage ad nauseam. Get off it.

Agreed but it was still uncalled for. I guess i wasn't the only one who felt that way. You'ld want every bit of info you could get as long as it was legit. SMH.

Now you're getting really stupid about this. But just to play along: if a member of your family was involved in a tragedy half the world away, would you (A) sit by the television for "legit" news from a for-profit network, or (B) connect with federal and international authorities for direct inside information and make travel plans? ESPECIALLY in a case like this, the mainstream media has proven very unreliable. And, is playing up the tragedy via endless empty hours of speculation for its entertainment value, which is a bit macabre. Think about it. SMH.

Yeah. So there. SMH (< watever that's sasposta mean. That like Pfft or Meh?)

Clueless. You are on ignore.

If the Patriots want to win a SB, they'd do this. They'd trade whatever pick they want and they'd get rid of Amendola who is worthless to this team any way. I don't understand why BB refuses to load up for a SB run with Brady being as old as he is now. The Broncos are doing everything possible to get that championship for Manning. This franchise should be doing the same.

The Broncos aren't doing it "for Manning". They realize that Manning's window is small and that loading up now puts them in the best position to win a championship, while Manning still is capable. But they are doing so with the very real possibility that this effort will set the franchise back a long ways once Manning retires.

The Patriots are trying to do both - build a championship team now while Brady is still effective, *and* prepare themselves for the time when he is gone. They're thinking long-term, not just short-term.

And adding Browner and Revis on their contracts is a sign that they're making a very big short-term effort.

And cutting Wilfork in order to sign some more players would be a very good sign that
they're making a better short-term (and long-term) effort to win before Brady retires.

You guys are pretty accommodating to address Texxx's inane blatherings. There's something wrong with every sentence in his post.

The Patriots sure do seem to occupy a lot of time and space in your head.

Not necessarily.
