...don't believe anything that clown writes, at all. His "sources" have been Mike Pettine and the voices inside his head.

Does MJD have anything left in the tank though, to be on topic?

Maurice Jones Drew currently seeking about $3.5M/year. His career accomplishments are great but as older RB in this market could be tough

His demands would need to come down by about 1-1.5 million a year probably.

It looks like BB is going to choose the best value out of Blount/Moreno/MJD.

I would prefer Blount over those 2. MJD woulda been a great pickup....5 years ago.

Funny, Mehta broke Revis wanting to sign with the Pats and several other scoops this offseason. He has been solid on scoops.

Jets fans just don't like him because he exposes all the warts of the Jets organization.

MJD would be good as a change of pace back, but I would want to limit his reps. I am not sure he would be my first choice of free agent RBs.

He was coming back from injury in a putrid offense. So he could due for a rebound year.

Can't get jacked about RBs.
This offense needs a major upgrade at OC and a viable TE2.

Not enough tread left on those tires to warrant the contract he's asking for. If he came down by about $1M or so, I would definitely be interested. I've watched MJD quite a bit since I live in Jax Beach and he's definitely not the same RB he used to be. That said, he can still be very effective in a rotation with Ridley and Vereen.

I doubt this.....

MJD was great in his day, but there isn't much tread left on those tires. I would much rather have Blount.

MJD is actually two days younger than Adrian Peterson is and has carried the ball over 200 less times in his career. He should still have something left in the tank.

I think Mojo is toast. Would much rather bring back Blount if Moreno is returning to Donkeyville.

Counterpoint: Adrian Peterson isn't a human being. He's clearly an alien.

I had MJD in two fantasy leagues last year, so I ended up watching more Jaguars football than any sane man should. Granted, it's hard to tell, since that offense was just so bad across the board and the offensive line was hot garbage. But even accounting for that, he looked pretty much done to me. I didn't see any of the burst that he had prior to 2012.

At equal money, I would take Blount over MJD without hesitation.

The question about MJD is whether 2013 was an anomaly caused by his return from injury plus crappy line play, or whether 2013 was the first year of his decline.

If it's "A", MJD immediately becomes the Patriots best RB, by a country mile. If it's "B", stick with Moreno/Blount.

Why Moreno and blount are on hold it seems

We have much greater needs at other positions. I'd rather the money go towards a WR (D-JAX) or a Center instead of a RB.

RB is definitely a need. Vereen has a tendency to get injured, and Ridley has a tendancy to put the ball on the ground.

Definitely wouldnt mind bringing in MJD as a change of pace passing back, and/or Blount back
