Brandon Spikes claims injury report by the Patriots was false

Yea.... Teams have never manipulated an injury report:screwy:

Sad thing is. Spikes got to keep collecting checks when Belichick simply could have cut him and Belichick was obviously just trying to protect Talib.

Spikes is a wanabee porn star who screwed his screws loose.

You think Florio's article is bad, check this one out...Another Spygate?.....multiple players (two thugs)......Anyway, would Spikes rather have been cut? At least they were still paying him. Both of these players are punks, who cares what they have to say?

Another Spygate? Former Patriots say Belichick is cheating injury reports | FOX Sports on MSN

The people who write these articles and the people who post "Yeah, right on" comments are not very deep thinkers. They do realize that Spikes and Talib missed games due to injury, right? They weren't just a smokescreen to make the opposition think they might be limited.

Talib missed 3 regular season games. One of them was the loss at the Jets. If he plays that game, maybe the Patriots win, which would mean they would have had the #1 seed in the playoffs. But because the Patriots were "cheating" by holding out an injured player, they ended up as the #2 seed.

Spikes doesn't even say he wasn't hurt, just that he thought he could manage it with rest and rehab. He aggravated his knee injury in the last game of the year. How much rest and rehab would he need? Would he be back and effective by the divisional game? The AFCCG? The Super Bowl, if the team advanced far enough? We don't know that. He thought he could be, the team had a different opinion. Like the Talib situation, though, how are the Patriots gaining an unfair advantage by sitting down a defensive starter for the playoffs due to an injury?

Spikes can claim what he wants. He is being sour bcz BB didn't want to sign him

A year or so ago Ed Reed said on the radio he was playing with a partially torn labrum even though he wasnt on the injury report for weeks. It was a non story and Ravens got Fined $20k.

The accusations against the patriots (which are both false) arent as bad. Not listing an injured player on the injury report is alot worse than listing them on the injury report with a wrong injury.

As I said the coverage of the Ravens story was minimal and noone really cared. People just want so badly for something to cling on to that they can use as a reason for the Pats constant success that they make these small insignificant things into big stories.

The reason the NFL isnt investigating this is not because BB is blackmailing them. Its because all you have to do is an ounce of homework to see that there is no substance to either claim.

Just wait for Goodell to turn this into something massive and suspend Belichick and take away #29

The thing is with Spikes - it was the playoffs, if you can't practice you're no use to the team that week so IR is the best place for him, give the roster spot to someone healthy.

With Talib - when he got injured in the Saints game he limped off holding his left HIP, the Hip Flexor (the injury he gets every year) is what connects the hip to the quad so is in fact both a hip and quad injury.

Out of the two of them, I think Talib has a better case, but weak still as Bill was trying to protect him. Also, the quads go from the hip to the knee.

What exactly is Spikes complaining about? He was definitely injured. Beyond that, it is the team that decides IR or not based on player's value. Obviously Spikes injured value was not worth being kept on the team.

Didnt Cowher always reported the wrong injuries so opposing team won't aim at that area?

!@#$'em. The guy is straight up lying. He even mentions Talib saying this same bull$#@!; trying to legitimize what Talib said by making it seem more legit with two people having the same complaint. He is trying to pile on to make it seem like they aren't both full of it.

The fun part of this knee injury: the Bills were laughing at him and talking !@#$ to him after he hurt his knee. A coach on the side line was the worst of them about it. Yet He signed with that team anyway and talks about New England negatively. Classic case of an idiot with a bullhorn (twitter).

I remember this and it is comical how someone changes their tune as soon as they're cashing checks from a new employer. If he wasn't injured or playing injured as he states then he just plain sucked and deserved to be left off the playoff roster. He was an absolute liability on passing downs.
