I deleted the ___ is available threads

I think we need to steer this thread back on topic. It all has to do with availability.

Who does not want a man that understands millions of dollars well? :D

I think Miguel does a great job with his cap page. But deleting what people are interested in on this type of forum doesn't seem like a good idea. That's my point. Now I have all these Miguel lovers defend action detrimental to the site, unable to see what's really going on, just bc they have a man crush on Miguel.

It's hillarious. I'm told don't comment on something unless I read it. Oh by the way it was deketed. So then I'm told don't comment unless you go and find out what was deleted and why it was deleted. Comical. Like every person on this sit has the time to read every post. And to research deleted posts

You do realize that Ken, the OP, wanted a mod, like myself, to delete those threads. If I had known at the time you could not see the reason I provided for the deletions I would have given the reason in the 1st post of this thread.

When an OP asks a mod to delete a thread, it usually gets deleted.

That's besides the point. In a previous post I said I was wrong about the specific critique on you but stuck by principle that posts shouldn't be deleted based on topic , even if they are dumb topics.

You have some very big fans on this board who are unnecessarily sticking up for you when the conversation really just morphed into one about deletions in general and not about the threads you deleted based on op requests. I'm told not to comment on posts I didn't or couldn't have read yet those same people are doing same and criticizing me.

So now I've been trying to clarify that but nobody seems to want to do anything but stick up for you and ignore what I've been saying.

deletion gate!!!

Yeah, I kind of wondered how long it'd take for all of those specific player threads to get merged into one.

"Adam Seward is available," for what it's worth to anyone.

I actually started making that thread with the content inside complaining about how annoying PFK was being making the other threads but decided against it.

Three thoughts

1) If Ian's policy is that an OP can request the deletion of a thread that s/he started and if such a request was made and if a subsequent deletion was then the result in this instance, it seems to me there is no issue here.

2) I'll leave it to an abstract and philosophical discussion about the nature of Intellectual Property as to whether posters who contribute to a thread thereby can be said to have "invested" their intellectual capital in a thread and that, as a result, their comments should not be deleted without their consent, as long as those comments are consistent with Messageboard policies. I really don't have the time or inclination to think that through.

3) In general, I'd prefer that threads that don't violate Messageboard policies be moved to another Forum and not deleted, but I don't object to the policy in question.

Onward and upward brother that is the best thing to do, no point in crying over spilt milk aka deleted threads. Miguel did what he thought was best at the time, I do not think being a moderator is an easy job, it is sort of like being internal affairs for the police you want to fit in with everyone but sometimes you have to do your job. That said I do not know the situation, so I will not comment on if you are right or wrong, I would just say it is probably best for everyone to just let it go.

In related news, apparently during today’s TheGangGreen news conference Miguel disputed claims of carpal tunnel stating it was false injury reporting and that is just the way things go on Patsfans.com, apparently he has not had any issues with typing since his days on the Tbaybucs.

When it comes to reasons for *****ing about the moderators on this site, their willingness to delete threads because the OP of that thread asks them to do so to would seem to rank quite low on the list.

I can't for the life of me seem to remember who is available. Is there a thread around here somewhere for that?

Sounds to me like a diversionary tactic. Right or wrong, Miguel is culpable.

I think her name is Barbara.

As I tried to keep up with all of the Patriots transactions, I appreciate the good-nature ribbing that goes on this board.

The mods must have started deleting dozens of threads every day. Lately I only see one or two threads per day started by mgteich. :)
