Nuff said. Can we stop the moaning about how the Pats are too cheap to spend to win now? BB knows what he is doing. There was a reason he was hoarding cap space, to save it sign on QUALITY players that fit his vision.

I'd rather spend the money on Revis and Browner and have a real secondary than have overpaid an injury-prone Talib plus a slot receiver who may have just been benefitting from 'the system'.

Don't get me wrong I'll welcome back Edelman if he takes a reasonable deal. But I see the light now. There's a reason why BB is tight fisted. If he doesn't believe you will be a key player, he sets a price and sticks to it.

Revis is a once in a generation player. And Browner adds size and physicality to our secondary that we desperately needed. The days of putting out smurf DBs to get bullied by bigger, stronger, faster WRs is over! And the Pats 'fiscal responsibility' up to this point put us into position to make these huge signings!

Was this thread really necessary. Nothing good can come out of this. It seems like as soon some people criticizes the patriots for not improving the team or being cheap, some posters quickly come out to defend then patriots front office including Belichick. Those who criticizes the patriots are immediately labeled stupid, morons and not fans of the team.

Has it dawned on some people that the reason we want the patriots to make moves to improve the team, is because we love the team and want them win the Super Bowl . If we didn't care about the team, we wouldn't be in this forum, watch the team play. Pretty much we couldn't careless what they do.

This is exactly what Felger was talking about.

It had not dawned on us. Thanks for pointing it out.

Threads like this sometimes is what makes message boards fun.

If you read any of the posts in the first 24 hours of free agency and following the loss of Talib to Denver, then you would understand that YES, this thread is absolutely necessary. Let's give BB and Kraft some credit for once. BB's hands are NOT tied because Kraft is a cheapskate. And BB DOES actually know what he is doing as a GM.

Of course, it seems the people who were complaining the most, are most averse to stepping forth with Mea Culpas. But that's fine as long as we can now acknowledge as a fanbase, that Kraft isn't a cheapskate. He just let's BB handle the football side of things, and BB maybe knows what he's doing after all. Is that so hard to admit?

I thought we already put this to bed. we spend to the cap and dont over pay for players. Its a sound business model and if people cant see that then too damn bad.

I do not know why anyone would refer to Kraft as cheapskate, the NFL cap is what it is and we always spend close to it. If you wanted to say anything it would be questioning how the money is spent but certainly not if he spends it.

The collective "we" are not moaning about what a "cheapskate Kraft is"... most of us know how very lucky to have such a fine owner who understands his role in this grand scheme...

Every time I go to a practice, drive into the stadium complex or watch a Patriots game I am reminded of what a great franchise this is... and then I look at the record of this team since Kraft bought it, and realize even more how lucky I am.

Be careful of how you use the word "we"...

Sure, it was fans of the Cleveland Browns who ran Paul Brown out of town.

Sure, it was Miami Dolphins fans who ran Don Shula out of town.

And it will surely be Patriots fans who will run Bill Belechick out of town.

Just because they are "Patriots Fans" and are bored with winning, and want MOAH !!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Everyone knows Kraft is a heartless scrooge and if he could move the team to England, rename them the Lobsterbacks and pay his guys in dollars what they should get in pounds over there, he'd do it in a heartbeat if it would line him and his cronie Goodell's pockets.

Bullbleep.

The only ones so labelled -- and deservedly so -- are the ones whose "criticisms" are in fact stupid and moronic. Such as "criticizing" the Patriots for being cheap.

To Those who Believe Kraft is a Cheapskate - You were wrong even before this offseason

So you've never listened to Felger and his echo dwarf? :)

I agree that there's always plenty to talk about criticizing (albeit in hindsight) the bad decisions made with the money. But right now it's Party Time!!!

Ah, so THAT's the key?

Now, I'm sad to be Scottish.

I cannot stand the sports media in Boston, that one heavy set guy who hasn't played a sport in his life bothers me the most he is always complaining, and Borges who acts like Belichick is an ex wife who cheated on him with his brother. I listens to TJ in the morning on 103.3 he is funny at least.

Let's put this one to bed once and for all. Those who say Kraft is cheap are moronic *********s. Felge,r you dink, that's you.

If you read any of the posts in the first 24 hours of free agency and following the loss of Talib...

Don't know and didn't really read those comments, but there were enough posts by even regulars a few weeks ago stating that Talib wasn't worth what amounts to the same money Ty Law had made in his last year with the Pats nearly a decade ago.

Maybe we should have another thread about delusional penny-pinching of other people's money.
