Bills sign Brandon Spikes

Well good for him. Something tells me things will get interesting everytime we face him.

On one hand, Brady's going to be completing a lot of passes to Vereen on account of him. OTOH, I was hoping he'd go and sign somewhere in the NFC where we'd play him maybe 1-2 times over the remainder of his career. I'll be cringing on our RBs' behalf whenever he's in.

I wish our unsigned FAs would just go far away some place in the NFC.

Nobody knows his limitations better than his old team. I bet he'll hardly be noticed vs. the Pats.

Wishing him the best, except against us, of course.

Love the physicality he brings to the game. He's a throwback.

Apparently the Bills fans aren't to happy about this tweet:

“@nhgator13: @BrandonSpikes55
Buffalo is the plumber’s butt of America.” I gonna follow u now !!! Lmaoooo dying over here

Hope he has more fun than he did with the Pats

one-year, $3.25M

Ah! Lame. 10char

Spikes is never going to live down that tweet.

I don't know how to read Twitter excerpts. Did Spikes write that or is he responding to someone else who wrote it? If he DID write it ... oh boy.

I'm no twitter expert, but I think a fan wrote it and just tagged spikes in it telling him he is going to follow him.

I didn't take it as a shot at Spikes, just a fan telling him to be ready for the suckage in Buff.....

I wonder if NE ever talked extention with him. I would guess he wanted one, they offered what he took as a low ball price, and he decided to wait it out. Not that $3.25M is chump change, but its not exactly the payday I bet he was thinking it would be.

I think $3.25 million is at the high end of what he's worth. He should consider himself lucky (and indebted to Pepper Johnson) and strive to carve out a career for himself in Buffalo.

I wonder if there's a workout bonus for training with "some guy in Miami" during the offseason?

The guy that he was responding to wrote it, and he found it hilarious.

Too bad things didn't work out with the Pats. I will never forget him just because of this:
