This team really could have used a gritty, physical receiver who would fight for the ball. It's to bad that Andre Johnson and Anquan Boldin are unavailable.

Michael Oher signing with the Titans per Schefter - 4 years / $20M, $9.5M guaranteed. And Shelly Smith signing a 2 year $5.5M deal with Miami.

This is the worst free agent WR class I can remember for yonks. The only one that should be targeted is Edelman, all for obvious reasons.

WRs in the draft will serve as better value in the 3rd and 4th round than signing Steve Smith.

If the Colts are lucky with health on offense, I wouldn't even be surprised to see Luck break the TD record next year

Hilton, Wayne, Nicks, Fleener is a great offense. Not to mention Heyward-Bey, Brazill, and Dwayne Allen (TE). Even Da'Rick Rogers showed some nice flashes last year.

People were upset last year when the Texans signed 35 year old Ed Reed.

Smith has been a great player, but there are relatively few 35 year old WRs who are effective, and certainly not for 3 years. He's 2 years younger than Randy Moss. Maybe Smith will be the exception (Reggie Wayne certainly was, prior to his injury), but I'm skeptical.

James Jones should not be very expensive. But the question for me is... why did he catch 14 TDs in 2012 and only 3 in 2013 while now being released by the Packers? Was that just an anomaly or can he really be a red zone threat for us?

This was/is a lousy WR FA market which is why no one went on day one. When Erick Decker is the best in the class and 35-year-old Steve Smith is the most accomplished, there isn't much there.

Rodgers missed 7 games and Packers offense ran for 17 TD (in '12 they ran for only 9 TD)

Colts got nicks on a 1 year 3.5 mill deal. That's too bad for us because I would of loved him here for that price. It's basically a prove yourself deal so I feel like we would of got the most out of him.


He's what DHB was supposed to be for them last year.

oh man Smith and Nicks signed cheap deals, we could have taken at least one of them but ok, I'm not gonna complain. We have a defense now.

Also he wasn't released, his deal was up. And with Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb coming up for free agency after next season i'd imagine Packers would use whatever money that would be spent on Jones to lock up Nelson and Cobb long term.

But then again it's not like Jones signing back there is out of the question.
