With the Steve Smith signing, I'm told the Ravens are out of the running for Julian Edelman now. They did have an interest.
Julian not seeing the money
If Edelman is forced to come back, is it at the same price as the original deal we offered him?
Not true, he had a nice year with Tebow throwing him the ball. I think people are selling Decker a little short. Not a great player but, a quality wide out. Broncos are going to miss him.
I believe the 3yr offer is still available for him, if he chooses. I think it's "take it or leave it".
It is bad that the offer is LESS than what Amendola got...
Edelman is way more clutch than Amendola. Amendola better produce this year if he's not traded. When I think "Amendola" I think him dropping that perfect Brady pass in the endzone very Welker like as the game clock ticked down in whatever that game was. Saints?
I hope Edelman comes back but it is a shame Amendola has that contract when Edelman's production shattered his in tangible and intangible ways
I agree. Hopefully, Amendola lives up to his contract this season.
I believe you are thinking of the MIA game. Amendola got a concussion against NO. And I find it hard to blame him for not coming up with that catch.
Assuming Dobson comes back 100 percent and given the anticipated growth of Boyce and Thompkins (alongside Edelman and Amendola), I think we'll be just fine at WR. Having a pass-catching TE to work in with Gronk is where the difference will come.Edelman left Niners without an offer... Sounds like Niners are out..
It's seemly likely that he will be back with NE..
Still, I believe we do need a #1 WR, even if Edelman comes back..

My bet is any team but NE. Belichick is too big a hardass to modify his initial offer one iota.
This is my opinion –
- Dobson is going to be a stud, he reminds me of a poor man AJ Green, and I think he can make the leap as Jeffrey did in Chicago last season.
- Boyce is a special talent, I cannot he believe he goes so unnoticed around here in terms of talent; he is sort like the WR version of Jamie Collins. He is a bigger, strong, faster, and more agile TY Hilton.
- Thompkins is not going to make the team in 2014, he was very much like Justin Francis is other JAGs of the past, he came into camp worked very hard and picked up the offense quicker than the other more talented rookies, this earned him snaps early on but as the other players caught on their superior talent shined through.
- Gronkowski is very underrated amongst all of us, this is a player who when healthy is in the category of only Johnson and Peterson of players who completely redefine an offense.
I wouldn't be surprised if other teams get into the mix like NYJ, Texans or Miami
