Darrelle Revis Rumors and Speculation

If you people thought the board exploded after the Talib departure then wait to see what happens if Revis gets away. The site will be crashed for days and when it gets back up it will be comple mayhem. Revis or bust!!!,!

Talib just ripped NE a new one lol. Saying he never had a hip issue here, his injury was a bad quad never the hip. Also added, that's how they like to do things there. If true shady on patriots I know it's a business but damn have ethics and morals.

Where did you see that? If that's true, then Welker's comments, this and Elway's recent comment on Twitter, doesn't make us look good.

Revis has the chance to prove that he is about winning or the money. For a guy who is on record as saying he wants to win in the NFL, he has one option. The Jets won't sniff a Super Bowl with their current team and administration. If he does reunite with the Jets and further illustrate he's just about dollars, so be it.

I'd very much like to see Revis on the Patriots as I'm intrigued to see what BB/Patricia do with the D but it's not worth crying over something that may or may not occur.

FWIW...from NY daily news

There are expected to be plenty of suitors for Revis, but the Patriots appear to be the most intriguing option. One member of the Revis camp was convinced Wednesday afternoon that he would ultimately windup in Foxborough with Bill Belichick.

"It's going to happen," the person predicted to the Daily News on Wednesday.

Nothing, of course, is a sure thing.

I saw what he said. I think he's full of ****. Trying to take concern away from his new team and fans. We will see if the Broncos list him with a hip injury ever.

Via reiss espnboston. On my phone can't post a link.

Pretty apparent that whole Pats have interest was just Revis' people talking to try to get the Jets to the table.

If the Patriots aren't seriously pursuing Revis, or Revis really has no intentions of coming to New England, then I don't know what the Patriots are waiting for.

The Patriots have holes at Wide Receiver, Tight End, Offensive Line, Defensive Line, Cornerback and Safety.

Those holes were made ever bigger once Edelman hit the market and Talib jumped ship to Denver.

New England's offense was a total clunker last year, but I feel somewhat confident that the Patriots can build and reinforce that unit through the draft and improve as players get more experience.

My biggest concern is now with the defense. Talib made such a difference to the unit and now he is gone for good, with the only remaining player on the market who could match his impact being Revis. Many of the top DL players are now gone, as are the Safeties and other Cornerbacks.

They need to make a move soon or things will get even more restless.

Elway's comments about dating and FA would also apply to paying for your date. It would not necessarily mean anything about treating them better. The Broncos just dropped a ton of $ on Talib; it did not matter how well or poorly the Pats treated him.

Okay, an exaggeration. A good defense - they were ranked 11th last year, despite that atrocious offense putting them on the field all day long.

Their d-line is very strong and can get pressure.

19th in points, 31st in takeaways. 1 sack more than league average. Best you could call them is average, and thats a stretch.

I expect Revis to sign with another team and then to hear reports that the Pats were never really in contention in signing him. We all know this is the most likely outcome.

Unless those numbers being thrown around earlier in one of the threads about him being offered 4 years/$40 million by the Pats are true. If so, then it makes you wonder.

Bill should be ashamed if he lets Revis get swiped by our division rival, right after Talib got swiped to our other rival, along with Welker last year, and potentially Edelman to another rival (Ravens).

Revis to the Pats NEEDS to happen

Revis was never ours...talib, edelman, welker were. Big difference. Plus he is familiar with them

Will this prompt you again to not watch a single game next year?
