It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Revis is making 14 million a year the pats are not going to pay anyone the same money Brady is making, even at 10 million the pats wont trade for him, the pats should push hard after Alex Mack and one of the pass rushers get better up front on both side of the ball

So "all in" that the Pats aren't even going to have a backup QB!
Having Dennard and Ryan as your top 2CBs would mean a secondary that got worse compared to last year. Need a #1 thats physical.
a lot worst with Harmon starting at safety but adam schefter just said Revis is out of Tampa by tomorrow maybe he is already traded and working on a new deal or he will be cut
If he is already traded.. and Clayton saying he is visiting with NE.......
He's getting cut tomorrow no matter what if a trade doesn't get worked out because the 4th round pick they owe the Jets will become a 3rd round pick if he's on the roster at 4:00.
According to him, it's happening. My quote of him was word for word what he said. Went back on the DVR a couple times to make sure I didn't miss anything/take it out of context.
Now whether he has any clue what he's talking about...we'll see. But he definitely said Revis is visiting NE.
He'd still be making $16M a year, and that's too much regardless of when it hits the cap.So Talib got 6 years $57 million.
Revis is currently under contract for 5 years $80 million and the team can convert as much of the $80 million into guaranteed bonus as they want. If you convert $10 million of it to bonus, the first year cap hit would be $8 million.

It seems restructuring has turned into a "get out of contract free card" among fans. It's not. It's for the players that are worth the cash, but the team just needs cap room. This isn't that. Revis isn't worth the cash. No matter how you restructure, it's still $16M cash per season.
Now if he were to go against all of his history and take a straight pay cut or be released and sign for less money, then maybe. At $16M though, he's just not worth it no matter how you divvy up the cap hit.
If the Broncos’ aggressive approach produces a Super Bowl championship in 2014 and then a steep drop-off in future years because this type of approach is hard to sustain, the locals in Denver probably won’t mind one bit. In fact, it’s what some in New England have been calling for the Patriots do as quarterback Tom Brady’s “window” gets shorter and shorter.
But the Patriots don’t believe in that, in part because of the high injury rate in football, as owner Robert Kraft explained at the Super Bowl.
“I don’t ever believe in selling your soul for a bowl of [porridge],” Kraft said recently on 98.5 The Sports Hub.
Respectfully,
Patriot Nation.
