Broncos sign Aqib Talib

Come on. BradytoAmendola knows more than the football experts do.

In fact, he and Tony Tucker, and SB36 and the 1986 guy should be put in charge of running the Patriots.

Without knowing the mistakes and misfires on the other teams it would be difficult to fault the pats on bad moves if they make proportionally less than the rest of the teams.

Ahhh, who am I kidding, these children dont want to hear that.

A part of me hopes the broncos sign revis also for a zillion dollars somehow just to see the reaction here. Some of us dont deserve this team...

Exactly, it might be time for a couple of 500 seasons to clear out all of the children on this board. I bet most of these morons play sports where you get a trophy even if you lose.

Yet, they don't cheat the cap. :coffee:

Disgusted with the cheap Owners and management of New England Patriots.

Patriots haven't won a trophy in 10 years. Fans are just hoping this season isn't the "same old Patriots" again.

They may not have won a SB, but they've mastered the art of padding their regular season record before losing to a NY/Manning team in the playoffs. Did you know they've won more games than anyone over that time span!?

As Mooch and others have said, 2013 may have been Belichick's best coaching year ever.
It is difficult to fault the Front Office for all of the injuries. We can nitpick and say that he might have done much better than A Wilson in free agency, but he too was injured, so who know what might have been.

Many HERE on this board just this week said they would be fine with no major additions if we re-signed Talib and Edelman. Well, we'll see. Obviously, we need to replace the free agents that we lose (although others use a different analysis).

We need to understand that the team will be better with the return of a healthy Gronkowski, Vereen, Dobson, Amendola, Mayo and Kelly.

Lots of injuries last year, man. It was a weird year where we overachieved.

There's about 99% PLUS of the 2014 season remaining. We will have some playmakers on defense through the return of injuries, some FA signings of our own, and the draft.

You mean a team that can get into the AFCG game with what, 5 pro bowl players on IR? Yeah, I would hate to have that team again.

Its BBs fault that Volmer broke his ankle:rolleyes:

Wow. You just made that comment about regular season records because you're pissed about what a team led by PEYTON MANNING is doing in free agency? Just. Wow.

Lmfao............

The Patriots big playmaker on defense, Chandler Jones. Two postseason games, 3 tackles, 0 sacks, 0 FF, 0 everything across the board.

Cut him!!!!

He makes Brady just like LeBron James in Cleveland!!!!!!

Tony Tucker and SB39 are having a contest - who is the stupidest poster here. I think Tony is winning.

I'm still waiting for all of these great players that Blunderin' Bill has surrounded Brady with. A TE that has a different boo-boo each year and can't even make it to the playoffs despite missing the first half of the season. A supposed stud pass rusher who gets a big goose egg across the board in two playoff games.

It's sad to say, but Matthew Slater is probably second after Gronk in terms of making an actual impact on the game.

Revis Contract is the biggest burden out of anything, he isn't doing to renegotiate that thing, nor would he, he could probably get a similar deal from some dumb team out there once he gets cut.

The only way the Patriots get Revis is if he takes something like 12 Million per year with huge guaranteed money for a long time (and even then it because he chooses the Patriots over some other garbage team), but then of course the Patriots are on the hook for almost the entire contract whether he sucks or not, and coming off an ACL, who knows what the future holds.

The Patriots never like going all-in on a player and thats exactly what this potential deal would be, They have been burned before on contracts like this (Adallus Thomas) and like to have control over players they develop in their own system by handing out deals when it is good for the team.

There is no way to win this situation they find themselves in.

If the Patriots trade for Revis, they pay close to (or actually) 16 Million Dollars for a single player, who if god forbid he gets injured or something play up to his contract, would have cost you potentially 4-5 discount quality players who always seem to hit or miss real hard, you can kiss any chance of signing Edelman goodbye and you also put impeding free agents of your own at risk in the coming years since Revis will never renegotiate.

If the Patriots don't end up with Revis, their secondary will be as horrible as it has always been without a star db; Dennard, Arrington, Ryan are nice little players, but they arent going to be worth a damn without a star db amongst them. This is a passing league and the Broncos will put up points at will if you are lucky enough to meet them in the postseason.

Damned if you do, Damned if you don't.

Observe the offense with Gronk and observe it without it. Perhaps the word you are looking for is "consistent presence" rather than "actual impact"?

Post Of The Year! :D

I agree that Forehead is the king of the regular season stat padding, so what does it say that he made Bill look like a complete fool by shredding his D for 400 yards and making that game non-competitive?

Nevermind the GM failings, there's been a lot of that, the shredding of the Patriots defense, with some not so great QBs. Sanchez had a 125 rating when the pathetic Jets beat them. Goober Manning completed 75 percent of his passes. Flacco destroyed them in the second half.

What is Belichick even doing? His defense has stunk for years, and he can't find talent as a GM.

What exactly have I said that is so stupid? That the Broncos are stronger today than they were in the AFCCG? Yeah, I'm really out of line there.

No surer sign that people have nothing intelligent to say than when they resort to personal attacks instead of debating me intelligently.
