He isn't.

If you saw the interview with McGinest you would have seen a very humbled and thoughtful young man who openly declared that NE does it right and he just needs to mature. He put the onus squarely on himself.

It'll be interesting to see if he winds up in a 3-4 D. If so, I think he could be a lot more effective than he was here.

He's been a productive if somewhat limited player. There's no guarantee that he's going to like things better at his next address. The NFL is not always particularly understanding of free spirits.

I'll miss him a lot. He was, IMHO, the toughest LB against the run that I ever saw in a Pats uniform. Nobody hit like he did... Bruschi, Ted Johnson, Steve Nelson... only Pats I ever saw light up opponents' grills more intensely were the safeties back in 2003-4.

Godspeed, Brandon, hope you get yourself in line personally, and hope you wind up in the NFC.
