The #Broncos have signed safety TJ Ward. #NFL

Scratch one safety.

Wow, Ward is a heckuva player.

And how the ***** does Denver have any money?!?!!! Please tell me they're losing a bunch of other players.. or some guys are going to be holding out, or someeeething! Jesus

Antoine Bethea gets nearly $6M /YR for 4 years from 49ers.. Another over-paid player..

And $7M/year for Donte Whitner.

Day 1 signings almost always = overpaying.

They got $10M in cap space by cutting Champ Bailey.

And according to ProFootballTalk Denver are the only suitors for Allen too. If BB doesn't do something drastic, Denver will roll over us again this year.

You know denver has like 25 mill in cap space right? Maybe more

Okay, but how? Their roster is clearly the best in the AFC. Who is making no money on their insane offense?

$20M guaranteed. So more like $5-7 per year. But still.

Being 4 years and $10 million paid this year, he is likely to see at least the third year unless he totally busts out. And I assume it isn't that backloaded. So it is probably closer to $8-9 depending on how it is structured.

Denver lost Guard Zane Beadles. They will probably also lose Eric Decker. Wesley Woodyard is probably signing somewhere else as well. And that is just off the top of my head.

Denver had a host of holes.

Just cutting Bailey, alone, freed up $10m

Vontae Davis - Indianapolis Colts - 2014 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

Colts re-signed CB Vontae Davis to a four-year, $39 million contract.

The deal includes a whopping $20 million guaranteed.
Monday reports had Davis getting away from Indy, but the Colts were never going to let a player they surrendered a 2013 second-rounder for get away without a fight. Davis can be a bit of a knucklehead, but is a legitimately elite player when on his game. He was in 2013, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 3 corner. Mar 11 - 5:00 PM

Yikes, if Denver resigns DRC that secondary will be scary.

Hopefully they cheap out on the interior OL, at least.

Okay, but how? Their roster is clearly the best in the AFC. Who is making no money on their insane offense?

Demarius Thomas and Julius Thomas both on rookie deals. Montee Ball, rookie deal.

Their roster isn't clearly the best in the AFC, but Manning overcomes issues like a sucky o-line.

Yeah yeah yeah. I know you're going to claim I am overreacting. Let's be honest though, Denver was easily the best AFC team last year. Their area of weakness was their defense and this Ward signing will fill a major need. I am not saying BB won't make moves that will improve the team. But to suggest that he doesn't need to keep up with Denver when they are our biggest threat is asinine.
