Got your helmet and safety vest on today?

Now, tell me: what position was McClellin drafted to play, and where did he play for his first two seasons?
Who cares what position a football player played in the past.

$39M/4yrs with $20M guaranteed for Davis. Yikes.

Not remotely worth it, but the Jets were reportedly making a run at him.

Whoa! Gabbert to SF for a 6th, according to Schefter on TV.

That is a lot of coin for the 4th or 5th best CB on the market (IMO).

Weird that it's been radio silence on Verner.

Wow! Pretty much $10 million a year for a good, but not a great CB. Maybe $16 million a year for Revis isn't too steep after all.

One less CB with davis gone

Chad Henne will be breaking in a new rookie first round QB

Broncos are signing former Browns S TJ Ward, per sources.

Let me try to explain this to you:

1.) Vrabel said the Bears fancy bigger defensive ends
2.) I made a joke about Shea McClellin, whom was drafted to play DE despite being only 260-270 lbs

The fact that, in recognition of the fact that McClellin sucks, the Bears moved him to LB, is completely irrelevant to any discussion taking place in this thread or anywhere else.

Attention discount shoppers:

Eugene Monroe - Baltimore Ravens - 2014 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

Ravens re-signed LT Eugene Monroe to a five-year, $37.5 million deal.

The deal includes $19 million guaranteed. It's less than Branden Albert got from the Dolphins (five years, $46M with $25M guaranteed) and Rodger Saffold landed with the Raiders (five years, $42.5M with $21M guaranteed). In other words, GM Ozzie Newsome has done it again. Monroe was our No. 3 free agent available at any position, behind only Jimmy Graham and Greg Hardy -- who were franchise tagged. Monroe has been a top-10 tackle in Pro Football Focus' rankings in three straight years. Mar 11 - 5:00 PM

Such a deal!

What player that has been signed would you want and for the salary they are getting?

Either a top tier DT (Arthur Jones: 5 years, $30 million) or second tier DT (Clinton McDonald: 4 years, $12 million) seem like good deals. It is a position that many of us had the most concern with heading into the 2013 season, and is arguably the position of top priority in this off-season. Fortunately there are still plenty of free agent defensive tackles available (Linval Joseph, Henry Melton, Randy Starks, B.J. Raji, Pat Sims, Jason Hatcher, Ziggy Hood)

There are some players on the other hand that do appear to be way too much (e.g., G Zane Beadles - five-year, $30 million deal with $13 million guaranteed); to me that's way too much money.

Dang it! Broncos HUGE upgrade at safety. They go from trash to a top 10 player back there.

Broncos signing TJ Ward

Son of a....

Schefter's got sources telling him Denver's signing Ward

That sucks.

$20M guaranteed. So more like $5-7 per year. But still.

Antoine Bethea gets nearly $6M /YR for 4 years from 49ers.. Another over-paid player..

One had to assume they were going to do SOMETHING to improve their defense, and they have the cap space. Presumably they'll re-sign Rodgers-Cromartie, too.
