While the Patriots didn't place the franchise tag on either Julian Edelman or Aqib Talib, it at least sounds like there's already been an effort to at least attempt to bring both players back in the fold for 2014....

Meh, this means nothing in the big picture as the Pats expressed interest in resigning Welker and other players over the years who subsequently weren't retained (for whatever reason). Not a critique just an observation.

That's a report? I would be surprised if they weren't interested in keeping both of them. Whether or not they will do it is another story.

The question is whether the Patriots will be seduced into signing two

average or below average players for half the price.

I would prefer the title be...we sign them to cap friendly home town deals...

Bingo. Neither one of them was ever going to be franchise tagged. You'd have to be an idiot to pay either Talib or Edleman $12 million and Belichick is not an idiot.

Any speculation about that was just media noise.

"Ummm, well yeah obviously my preference would be to remain dating Kate Upton as we've done a lot of great things and I've really enjoyed my time with her. At the same time dating Supermodels is a business so you can't take things personally if it doesn't work out for whatever reason.
