Well, every draftee has bust potential. But I more or less agree with you about Amaro. I would only be interested in him if he drops out of the first round. His stock has taken a bit of a dive so it is possible. But I would like ASJ or Niklas. Obviously, I would love Ebron but he's going to be long gone by that time.

I was thinking Fiedorowicz in the third, and then take a flyer on Lyeria, Leonard, or Burton as a UDFA.

Agree totally!!! I think at wide receiver we should start with resigning Edleman and then as far as the draft goes, focus on the defensive line, safety position, offensive line and tight end.

A am really intrigued by Jarred Allen. I am wondering if he is looking to break the bank, but I would like to see someone on 3rd down really getting after the quarterback.

The thing about Allen is that, for all his great sack numbers, PFF had him at #34 among DE's last year. If he's looking for a bank breaking deal, pass.

He would fit beautifully here, though, spelling our two ends.

If we're going bigger money, Johnson, Houston, please.

then take a flyer on Lyeria

who/what is Lyeria?

if you mean Colt Lyerla....never. Not in this market. You have to be a crazy person to see he could EVER be a fit after his public statements on Sandy Hook.

Personally I dont see WR as a need at all.

What? My expectations are that this team competes for a championship, that seems highly unlikely if the WRs are some combination:
Amedola, Dobson, Thomkins, Boyce, Larry, Curly and Moe <- without a doubt this would be among the weakest set of WRs in the league

I don't think they have to bring in Megatron but if they can bring in a 1B or 2A WR it pushes the others down the depth chart (where they belong).

I never saw the Sandy Hook comments. Do you have a link? I would like to see what he said.

are you a bubble boy or something....G-O-O-G-L-E

Not in a bubble but in my lifetime very few things have bothered my emotions as much as the events and the victims at Sandy Hook so I made a point not to read about it or follow the situation.

I believe he called it a government conspiracy.

He basically said our own people are responsible for one of the most tragic things to happen in the New England area since 9/11.

Edit: ignore the above line I guess, I didn't read all the details. But yeah, **** Lyerla, he isn't getting close to this team as long as Kraft is the owner and I wouldn't have it any other way, personally.

I ll help you out. He basically said that Sandy Hook never happened and that it was a hoax created by the government. He sent out multiple tweets calling the parents of the victims liars and that they are being used to promote the government's agenda.

what does THAT have to do with Lyerla and his public statements?

I would think that someone who churns out hundreds of posts a day and engages in draft analysis in multiple threads at once would have at LEAST a working knowledge of a player that HE proposes as a Patriots draft pick

I suggested taking a flyer if he were an UDFA. I did not say anything about drafting him.

I never claimed to know everything and this is the first year I have mocked the draft so I am learning as I go.

I read the comments and to be honest without asking him face to face I could offer him the benefit of the doubt. He could be an immature kid who comes from a messed childhood and developed coping mechanisms such as constructing or buying into conspiracy theories to make himself believe bad **** didn't really happen.

That aside given the statements and the connection to this area, you are correct he would not be a good fit for the Patriots.

Nice job compiling the list. I agree that there are some guys worth kicking the tires on for sure.

One guy I'd probably remove is Denario Alexander, who just recently had yet another ACL surgery. The report just came out a week or so ago. That poor guy isn't going to be able to walk if his bad luck continues. I'm almost positive that he's now had 5 knee surgeries, and the recent news of yet another ACL tear/surgery isn't good for his chances of ever seeing the field again.

It's a shame. He had some talent.

Jason Avant is reportedly being released by the Iggles, should come cheap. He is the type of guy BB would bring to TC and have him compete for a spot.

I'm a strong advocate of giving Jason Avant a chance here. Obviously, like any other player, the price has to justify the decision.

I imagine that many would just see it as a "meh" type of signing, but I think that Avant could improve our WR corps here as a possession type receiver.

His leadership in the locker room at PHI has been exceptional, and while that isn't enough in itself to justify the decision, it shows that he fits into the mold of guys who may be considered.

I don't think we're going to see any bigger name WR signings, so we may have to settle for this type of additional competition as fans.

Yep, that's exactly the kind of move he uses to build during the offseason.

Steve Smith maybe cut am sure Aqib Talib would love to face him in practice everyday lol

WR - Jerrico Cotchery. But from what I have read the Steelers are expected to resign him.
