It has got to be. I mean - that would be a devastating SB loss considering Manning's reg season records and great weapons on offense. Not sure if he will ever have such an opportunity again. It will still be 3 rings to 1.

He's played exceptional all season long and has had a very nice play off run so far. I think it's an accomplishment just to get there personally as do many others so no they won't go away IMO.

How many threads like this one have backfired over the years?

Anyways, too much stock is put into winning or losing a SB.

It will make or break your legacy, but it doesn't really tell a story of who is better.

IMO there is no clear cut winner or loser between who is better when it comes to Manning or Brady, they are clearly 2 of the best QB's of our generation.

Put 2 beautiful paintings up against one another and there will never be a n overwhelming consensus on which is better. It just comes down to which one draws you in.

These 2 QB's are both master pieces, even if one has a big forehead!

Of course, with that said, I hope the Broncos get destroyed!

I hope he wins the Superbowl. The man has class, unlike the Seahawks, whose fans, head coach and Secondary are all despicable.

As far as the comparisons go, even though Brady is our guy he has played like garbage in big playoff games for the past few years, you can't really call him a better playoff quarterback anymore.

If Manning wins the Superbowl, the comparisons will be over as well. Sorry, thats just how i feel, maybe Brady and Belichick can change my mind next year.

Yet another thread assuming that past results will definitely equate to future ones.

We've heard since about week 13 how Manning would be "choking" down the stretch, and surely be one and done in the playoffs. Why? Simply because it's happened before, so surely it will happen in every single year, right?

Then they won enough to get the #1 seed, and EVERYONE was convinced that the SD Chargers, who barely could beat KC's 2nd and 3rd stringers, were good enough to go into Mile High 2 times in a row within a month or so, and come out with a win.

Then once that didn't happen, he obviously would be outgunned by Brady and our stellar play on both sides of the ball.

Now...it's that he will definitely lose to the Seahawks. Let's see if that happens first before spending too much time worrying about the legacy of someone who isn't even on our football team. Manning has had much better TEAMS and talent surrounding him, so I don't buy into the whole "Brady vs Manning" thing.

Whether or not Peyton gets the job done in New York, the comparisons are never going to end, as the sports media realizes how heated the debate is, and how many people are invested in it.

"Good. Use your aggressive feelings, boy. Let the hate flow through you."

When did Goodell speak those words again? I know he did at some point, but the exact date and circumstances escape my mind .

Believe me, there's not a guy more than me who always wanted Brady to end this debate forever.

But at the end of the day, all this year did is HELP Manning in the debate. He is now 2-1 in AFC Championships against Brady, got another MVP and got new records. None of this hurts Manning. If he loses the SB, the comparison is still basically the same as it was before, only Manning got an extra boost, but nothing crazy.

However, if he WINS the SB, at that point if people want to say he's more accomplished than Brady, I can't blame them anymore. He'll still have 1 less SB, but also will have 3 more MVPs.

Now, had Brady won on Sunday and then won the SB, the debate would be officially over and Brady would be the undisputed winner. Sadly, Brady was completely outmatched weapons wise and had no shot from the moment Gronk went down.

Win or lose the comparisons will be there and will probably be debated long after both retire. But I think the Broncos will win.

Even if he wins.... so what? he'll be voted the GOAT?

And then what if Brady gets another ring (or even two) before HE retires? Will Brady be crowned the GOAT again?

The bottom line is: until these two QBs are officially done playing football, there are still achievements and milestones to be conquered.

It also depends on the actual score of the SB. If he loses 40-0 then it would be a major major blow :D

Apparently if you score 17 points or less in a SB loss (not a win) you are forever shamed.

This will be interesting because typically the SB refs have a let them play mentality, but we're talking about PM. Still, they do push the envelope on what they can do on offense.

The biggest key will be the offensive lines for each team.

Agreed. After this season and specially after sunday I think we better shut the hell up and get better hopes for the next season.

And of course, hope that Sherman picks Manning, returns to the end zone, make the choke gesture again, run after manning and give him a big middle finger IN THE FACE.

The Broncos are going to win.

Weather models show North East cold and moisture the next 2 weeks so its going to be snowy and cold creating a slippery track to the Broncos advantage. The Seattle defense will have a hard time reacting.

If the game were in a warm climate or dome Seattle would smother Denver and run the ball down their throats unlike the Patriots.

The narrative changes after every win and loss by both quarterbacks. People are way too reactionary. We need to wait and see when they're all done.

I'm hoping for cold, windy but dry for just that reason. The long range forecast according to Accuweather for E. Rutherford is temps in the low 30's with winds 5-12 and snow showers possible. That's a pretty good forecast for the Broncos but if it stays dry I still like the Hawks.

It all depends on how he plays. if he plays well and they lose, it woun't hurt him.

As for people predicting a Denver win, I don't think people are taking into account what a popgun offense the Patriots ran, and how horrible the defense was after Talib went out. They collapsed, they unraveled.

Seattle will be so much more formidable than what you saw on the field this past Sunday.

There will be a night and day difference in what Peyton will be facing.

Putting our bias toward TB aside there will always be comparisons with the National talking heads.

The Broncos have a good amount of holes on both sides of the ball. I can't think of very many with the Seahawks. The Broncos success in the Super Bowl will depend on whether or not the lights there are too bright for Russell Wilson. If they're not, I have a very hard time seeing the Broncos winning this one.
