I realize I am not exactly "going out on a limb" here. But, does anybody else get the sense that if Denver wins the SB, that opening night next year, we see Pats / Broncos as the season kickoff game at Mile High?

Denver is scheduled to play @ NE next year so I don't think that's happening.

I had not looked at the schedule, so I guess you are right. If Seattle wins, look for SF to go there opening night.

They're playing @ Gillette next year. I know the Ravens opened their title defense on the road last year but that was only because of a scheduling conflict with MLB. Can't see that happening again.

I think it will be Indy @ Denver

I was thinking the same thing (Indy / Denver), but was not sure how the schedule was for '14, as to who traveled to who.

How much does the NFL fear that if Manning wins his Super Bowl and retires that they are going to have to kick off the season with Denver playing some crappy QB?

NFL would pay Denver money to pick up Tebow for one game!

Ya ..no.. Pats season has been over for a little more than 21 hours

I was thinking the same thing, but I also thought the NFL would have the Pats open in Baltimore last year too.

Denver is scheduled at Seattle next year. If Seattle were to win an epic game the might use it even though it would be a great late season Sunday nighter just to get people amped up for the new season.

if manning doesn't play next year..they only win 5-6 games. And they don't know. So it's risky for the NFL to put a crap QB on the opening game

Denver wins they will be in the opening game.

I see them hosting SF or Indy if they win.

Seattle wins I see them hosting SF or GB

My guess for Pats would be at SD or hosting Chi on Sunday Night

They should give Baltimore the season opener if Denver wins.

It would be too cruel to make the Super Bowl losers sit through the champion's opening pregame festivities.

Yeah, that's not going to happen.
