Re: Will Bob Kraft ever pay a big name free agent receiver

I agree. Although Brady made two, count em--TWO, poor throws yesterday, he was otherwise sharp.

Randy Moss probably hauls in the overthrow to Edelman and takes it to the house, and the throw to Matt freakin Slater was right on target. Any legit wideout with some size goes up and makes that catch more often than not. I pin that one totally on McDaniels, unless Brady changed the play at the LOS.

Was it last year or the year before when we tried to pull the same BS with Slater?

The fact the we abandoned the run so early is borderline unconscionable IMO. I don't care if Blount got stonewalled three times to start, or if Knighton was playing like a man possessed. The fact that you've only won your last 5 games because of the rushing attack and yet you panic and abandon it in the first quarter shows that the OC just isn't cut out for prime time. Letting the other team make you change your gameplan after a couple of series is the definition of incompetence, especially when you have Ridley sitting on the bench.

Sorry, but now I just don't think Josh is the sharpest tool in the shed and/or freezes up in big games. It's a huge problem for this team and it makes me sick every time I see BB coaching up the D in big games while his offense is literally sputtering.

We're a fastfood nation and the general football analysis reflects that, I totally agree on the bad throws by Brady, they're on him but everyone focuses just on those at the expense of everything else.

I really don't like the deep balls to Slater, they don't work. I don't blame them as much for moving away from the run, it was not successful and I didn't see anything to indicate that continuing it would work, they dared us to pass and we don't have the goods, either on the O-line or in the receiving corp to meet that challenge.

You Fix It All

Who do we keep? Who do we sign? Who is in the draft?

Fix it. Fix it all.

Let go: Edelman(can be duplicated and replaced), Talib(he's gonna get real expensive),Blount(someone will overpay). Hooman(he's only hooman afterall)

Sign: Hakeem Nicks,Jairus Byrd

Draft:.TE: ASJ or Amaro early Lyerla late

Draft Deanthony Thomas as a mismatch weapon

Get Healthy: Yeah yeah I know it's possible

Have Gronk, Amaro,Vereen,Nicks,Boyce,Dobson,Lyerla.Thomas as unstoppable offense

Well anyway thats my thinking

Anyone think the clock management was horrible? The end of the first half and a lot of the second half we wasted a lot of clock, we saved timeouts but then still had no time to do something late.

Everyone is saying Talib and Gronk will be healthy but they will just get hurt and miss the big games again. I don't even see a point on relying on those two when they are made of glass.

Re: Momentum stopping

They did not work the things that got them to this point. They reverted to pre week 16 yesterday.....and the comeback never came.

Fun year and things look good for next year.....that's it

We didn't lose because of refs. That is loser talk. Did you complain about the refs when McCourty got away with a hold in the endzone? Leave that talk for loser teams like the Ravens and Steelers.

Re: Momentum stopping

Momentum stopping infers that we actually had momentum at some point. In this case, it might be more appropriate calling it lack of momentum sustaining moments.

We weren't allowed to get momentum though, because players kept getting mystery problems then every time they got up and walked off from. If I was Bill Belichick I would not be talking to the NFL about the Welker hit, its the obvious flops Denver D kept doing. That killed our momentum and any advantage that we could get from gassing there defence.

Reasons we didn't lose:

1.) Our WRs or RBs. WRs can't catch balls thrown 10 feet over their heads and RBs can't run through DL in the backfield.

Priority 1 has to be replacing Wendell. Another couple of low snaps and the most obvious tell of any Center in the league.

Few reasons why i root against the SixtyWhiners

He had a couple of legitimate complaints in that game. The blown call on roughing the kicker lead to 7 points for the Seahawks.

I think Wendell is part of the problem that Brady's QB sneak wasn't as automatic this year as it's been in the past....

The OL had 3 expensive players and a 4th middle class one as it is. And the personnel they wound up with didn't do all that badly.

But I can easily imagine the Patriots allowing themselves to get outbid for Ryan Wendell now that he's a FA.

Where can I contribute to a fund to help someone else take Wendell away? I'll fetch my credit card. He did not have a good year by any measure.

Collins flashed on a few plays early. After that, he got destroyed out there.

I couldn't figure out why they had Hightower covering Julius Thomas early on.

Wendell does not have a clue to which offensive guard requires assistance in pass protection. In other games, Wendell has allowed a linebacker on a delayed blitz run passed him untouched while looking for someone to block. Wendell has been the utter definition of clueless this season in pass protection.

Besides, Wendell does not consistently move the pile in the running game.

I certainly hope the offensive center position will be addressed no later than Day 2 of the 2014 NFL Draft.

praying for a blizzard in two weeks now.not that it will matter. seahwaks are going to get beat.
In every single one of their losses, the broncos got physically beat up at the LOS at the receiver position. I really don't see a way the most physical secondary in football can't do the same. Not only that but catching radius is dimiinsehd against a QB like Manning at this point. Manning's ball always seems to hang around in the air for a while and that spells disaster for a team like seattle who makes it a point to look for the ball and try and make a play on it. We let about 2 or 3 interceptions fall to the ground or into a denver receivers arms because our guys didn't look for the ball.

He usually always has a legitimate complaint. So do most coaches in the league because these officials are terrible and completely inconsistent. More coaches should get on top of the league and the officials when they screw up. Seems to be no accountability, outside of the failmary. These guys blow call after call and go about the next week and everybody is just expected to forgot or move on.

ATTN: Dr Robert Leonard

Just saw one of your Wes Welker ads. I'd pull them off the air and save yourself some money.

Re: ATTN: Dr Robert Leonard

Maybe Wes could become the local spokesman for a company that sells these instead:

Wikler and Forehead should join forces -- a free slice of pizza with every hair plug purchased.
