Hakeem Nicks will be available. We might want to take a chance on Britt as well. We need a WR who can catch a curl.

All set with both those guys. What has Kenny Britt done?

No way on Britt. Nicks? Perfect fit in NE. Give him a change and a different culture scene in NE and Nicks will dominate moving forward. Hell of a talent for a young WR about to enter his prime and golden years.

An underrated topic of discussion when in regards to potential free agent WR's? Maclin from Philly. Another kid I really like moving forward.

Who gives a flying **** about getting receivers? The greatest weakness today was the interior offensive line. I would replace every single one of them starting now.

Golden Tate and Jeremy Maclin are also free agents this off-season

My issue with Decker is he isn't a true outside guy either. This team has plenty of inside the field receivers with Edelman, Amendola, Gronk back, etc. They can't keep using Slater for those pathetic deep bombs that never work.

I love both of Tate and especially Maclin as well (If Nicks isn't a FA option that is). Although in regards to Decker? Wishful thinking. No way Manning allows Denver's front office to let Decker walk. And no way in return Decker would leave Manning as his QB. Decker will be paid. And it'll be from Denver's front office no question about it. He's in a perfect situation/fit moving forward with Denver's offense with #18 under center...

-Would actually say the pass rush was the problem today. Captain Forehead never got touched and didn't even hit the ground except for the kneel down. I say look at pass rush in the middle rounds of the draft, along with a stud guard.

-Vollmer is always hurt at tackle too, so that is something to look to, might want to replace Connolly along with the aforementioned guard position.
Keepers at O-Line:
Mankins
Vollmer
Solder
Cannon

-Bag Wendell, he is a revolving door.

-Might as well stick with Ridley for another year and see if Blount wants to come back. I like the tandem along with Vereen.

-Open your eyes guys, Bill isn't signing a WR. Brandon Lloyd was the only one and look at the sunshine he brought to the locker room ;) . If anything we will unload Amendola in a trade to make room for a low risk, high reward guy like Maclin or Britt. There's a better chance of us trading Collins than signing Nicks or Decker (another small white guy to the offense? He is a rich man's Amendola!)

Trade for Fitzgerald

Trade for Fitzgerald

Actually, if you are looking for a Randy Moss type trade, I'd go for Blackmon. He has worn out his welcome with that new era in Jacksonville, and they could get someone for him from us (Dola+insert player A+picks?)

Since when is Decker a small white guy? He's 6'3" 215 and averages nearly 14 YPC for his career.

We might have to trade up for Beckham.
In the 2nd? For sure I wouldn't even mind a trade back with our 1st this year to give a team a shot at the QB they want if we can trade a pick and player and find a way to get into the teens of the 1st round somehow. Ie trade a pick from next year and a player or another pick to pick around 17-20. Then trade back with our other 1st round pick to get a 2 and another 2 next year or something comparable.
Would you go draft, though, knowing that very few WR rookies produce immediately? Brady has a closing window on his career and they just spent a year developing all those other rookie receivers.

Thats exactly why I chose Beckham, I think if he can go somewhere and be a piece as opposed to the #1 option, he can really contribute in a way that impacts games, not to mention he solves our KR problems.

Blackmon isn't worth a half-eaten sandwich right now. For all the complaints about Amendola, at least his unavailability has been due to injury rather that just being an idiot. I wouldn't sign Blackmon to a vet minimum deal as a free agent, much less give anything for him to take on his $2M salary next season.

Draft picks? It's been awhile since they've spent a high round pick on the offensive line. For Brady and the future QB's sake, now would be a great time to get the next Mankins.

Emmanuel Sanders if the price is right. Like I said always wish we would have pursued him over Amendola.

Not sure what guards/centers are out there, nothing I'd love more than a signing like Waters in '11.

Agree with just about all of this, except that I think the pass rush picks up with Big Vince back and Kelly and the rest (not that I'd forget about interior D linemen in the draft) BECAUSE with the exception of Vollmer, that's the offensive line that will be out there next year and if you just look interior line, those were the starters.

And they were getting pushed back with ease by a bigger, more physical, more talented interior D-line. Which is the same problem the offense has had every year the past three, at least.

they did pursue him. pittsburgh matched.

About Brady's overthrows, think how small his window is.

Peyton Manning overthrows DThomas on a sure TD where Thomas is open. He also overthrows a wide open Decker in the end zone. But he gets chance after chance to come back and do it again.

Brady meanwhile throws an on target bomb to Slater, but Slater isn't D Thomas, and he's not going to haul that down even though he has inside position. His two misses to Edelman and Collie are then considered glaring because he's not going to get another chance to do it again like Manning is.

This is prety much the truth of it. The 60o weather turned the Patriots back into a Pumpkin. This is a season to build off, which is more than a lot of teams have to say for themselves. The talent wasn't there.

Should have said pursued more aggressively, like offering him similar #'s they offered Amedola. Pittsburgh was up against the cap and would have most likely been unable to match, but we offered him peanuts.
