For food, I have no idea, I'm leaving that up to house I'm going. But beer, I can control that so I'm bringing a variety of:

- Pliny the Elder Double IPA
- Saint Archer Double IPA
- Firestone Walker Union Jack IPA
- Green Flash Le Freak

I suspect we'll all be drunk before half time.

Just had waffles and bacon for breakfast. I don't know what I will have for lunch, but I usually can't eat and watch the pats. I always eat before or after.

I have to eat slowly while the game is on ...serotonin kicks in and acts as a nerves vice grip. :bowl:

Post-Game

Whoopie Pies
Crazy ass sundae of some kind (if lost)
Beverage (if won): Something light, not sure
Beverage (if lost): Vodquila (then water later to avoid vicious hangover)

Bud Light longnecks from an aluminum tub covered with ice shoveled from my deck. And my fingernails...

Pliny the Elder??? Where do u live??

nothing for me until after or late in the game.

I don't like to drink during the day (no "holier than thou" ****, it just makes me feel lousy). And, if i start eating, i'll gorge myself on fat and salt and feel really crappy if they lose.

But, i must say that I am looking forward to a celebratory ****tail (or two) and a nice dinner when the game is in hand and they have punched their ticket to New Jersey (i live in NYC and i love to tweak the Giants and Jests fans by reminding them that the SB is being played, not in New York, but New Jersey).

San Diego, but I have some really good beer connections so I can get it just about any time. I'm spoiled. If you're able to get Heady Topper, or any really good and hard to get beer in your area I'll trade you :D

we were in NYC 2 weeks ago. I asked the in which we were staying what the rates were for superbowl weekend. They were pretty good

yeah. i suspect that while ticket demand will be strong that it won't be as crazy as usual for fans of the 30 "other" teams. most people who go to an SB are going more to be able to say that "they were there" than to watch the game. the average SB attendee doesn't want to spend a few thousand dollars to sit in the wind and snow to watch a team he doesn't care about. but if the game is indoors or in a warm place, it's a different story.

if the pats win, as an NYC resident, I might just scout out a couple of web pages and see if the tickets are anywhere in a range that i would be willing to spend. it would be awesome to see BB and TB win number four...

Teams and fans won't be the only ones outdoors for Super Bowl 48; NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will be sitting outside in stands, too.

On topic: 3:00 is an odd time for a game food wise. I'll heat up a tray of wings and maybe have a Guinness. I'm a bit like PatsFanSince74, in that I end up skipping the drink during the big games; too easy to lose count. I feel much better after chugging water.

Now you've got me jealous.

Chips and dip (and hummus).
Salad.
Broasted chicken.
Vanilla pudding pie w/graham cracker crust.
